do they need no concrete proof to believe they are all destined for heaven.
why are there so many conflicting interpretations of the rules of the christian bible, with each believing their own is the only true one.
have they not been presented enough evidence to prove otherwise. or do they just refuse to question their faith.
is it non acceptance or fear of death.

for those of you who believe, do you have any other reasons, other than:
you know it in your heart.
god told you.
the bible told you.
just faith.

life is a precious thing, it's all we have.
i don't want to die and that be the end of it.
but i cannot believe in something that is only a false sense of security.
appreciate every day, and see things on their own merits.
nobody made a tree, it grew out of reaction to it's environment.
saying it is manufactured in some way by a supernatural force is a discredit.

The cost of Pascal's wager is huge.

It means living in denial of your own doubts and suspicions.

It means closing yourself off from the quest for knowledge.

Is it not better to make a firm decision on where you stand rather than the cop out of hedging your bets?

I don't get it. Everyday we hear about another bombing in the East. A radical muslim runs into a crowd and detonates a bomb he had strapped to his body. What is it with these people and explosives? Why are they so fond of blowing themselves up? Is there something in their "bible" that tells them to kill themselves and others?

What if one day, you realise you're about to die. You review the evidence and what's in your heart.

A seed of doubt comes into your mind that explodes into a realisation that there is no God.

Would you consider your life wasted?

Or would you be content with having lived your life to the best of your abilities knowing that you always followed what you believed to be right?

The Bible does sometimes appear to contradict itself. But it doesn't. It is consistant, although not complete. The Bible books were assembled by a group of people that decided on which books were to be canonized. The books were edited, some were omitted due to content too graphic, some were laughed at and distroyed. This means that some of the books omitted could have also been spiritually inspired, just not chosen by the scholars that assembled the canon. Due to this fact, with editing being done by these scholars to the writings, some of the "connecting" information may have been omitted. So, especially with the book of Genesis, there will be inconsistancies and things that just don't add up. What do you think? Allow me to add I am not an Atheist, and I do not condemn anyone for believing what they believe. Do you!
