Do Roman Catholics still think they are the only ones who will be 'saved' come the day of judgement? Also what do Roman Catholics need to do to assure their salvation?

Why would you refer to yourselves as christians, followers of Christ, when Jesus clearly told us we cannot go where He is? Do you not understand that you reveal your complete ignorance of the Holy Spirit when you talk about putting on Christ or trying to be like Jesus? Trying to be like someone else other than who you are is futile and is not what He told us to do. Do you not understand that it is you He is talking to in Matthew 7:21-23?

I am posting this question again, but at a different time

The question refers to the passages in 1 Corinthians 11,23-25; Mark 14,17-25; Matthew 26,20-29; Luke 22,14-38; John 13,1-17; 26, even though the name "last supper" is never in any of them. The nature of that meal that Jesus took with his apostles shortly before his arrest is variously described in the New Testament.

The earliest reference in the New Testament to the "last supper" (and what soon grew out of it) is found in 1 Corinthians (written about A.D. 56), where Paul, even before he recounts what Jesus did and said at it, speaks of a participation of Christians in "the table of the Lord" (10,21). He thus refers to what was already a well-established ritual custom among Corinthian Christians. At it they shared in a "cup of blessing" (10,16a), which Paul now interprets as a "participation in the blood of Christ" (v.16b) and in a "breaking of bread" (v. 26c), which is "a participation in the body of Christ" (v16d): "All partake of the one bread" (10,17). Thus Paul alludes to a Christian rite, which he even compares with "sacrifices" of the people of Israel" (10,18) and other sacrifices of "pagans" (10,20), as he emphasizes the idea of partnership or participation of those involved in it.

Please read the biblical citations, if you are not familiar with them, before answering. Take your time.

What are the cons of being an atheist? Why not take a chance at having an outstanding life after death? I just dont see why you would want to believe in nothing, when there is a possibility that you could go to heaven. If there is no God then what did it hurt? But ill tell you the best days of your life are not discovered til you have read the bible and got to know about God and his teachings.

Well, on Palm Sunday anyway. I just had to tell everybody what a glorious feeling it is to know that I am free of the burden of sin, and how happy I am to know that Christ shed His blood on the cross for me. He told me to pick up my cross and follow Him. I was so lost, trying to do things my own way, trying to get the things that I thought that I deserved, I was alone and so broken that I gave up. God took me in his arms and said, "Son, you have never been alone, I have always been with you. I knew that you were going to screw up, but it's okay because I forgive you of your sins. Now go forth and tell everybody the glorious news!" I wept when I realized how merciful and loving my Father really is. How I have done all of these terrible things and He still loves me and wants me to be close to him. Praise Jesus!

A puddle wakes up one morning and thinks: “This is a very amazing world I find myself in. It fits me very perfectly. In fact it fits me so absolutely perfectly… I mean its really precise isn’t it? If the hole was just one millimeter smaller or larger I wouldn't fit… It must have been designed to have me in it.”

this question has been asked already but not at this time of day so here you go. =D

I’m curious about Noah’s Ark…
Genesis 6:15 says the Ark's dimensions were at least 135 meters long (300 cubits), 22.5 meters wide (50 cubits), and 13.5 meters high (30 cubits).
That's 450 feet long, 75 feet wide, and 45 feet high!
(Working with the 18 inch cubit; nominally the length of a man's arm from fingertips to elbow.)
An example of a more modern seagoing craft would be the 100.4 m (329.5 ft) Wyoming.
This American ship had a tendency to flex in heavy seas, causing the long planks to twist and buckle.
This allowed sea water into the hold, which had to be pumped out.
I’m no ship builder, but I know a wooden hull craft can only be So big before it becomes inherently unseaworthy…
How Did Noah manage a fully laden, and from some accounts, box-shaped craft on the ‘high seas’, I mean, he couldn’t have stayed close to shore, for shelter, there wasn’t any shore…?

"Tell a devout Christian ... that frozen yogurt can make a man invisible," Harris writes, "and he is likely to require as much evidence as anyone else, and to be persuaded only to the extent that you give it. Tell him that the book he keeps by his bed was written by an invisible deity who will punish him with fire for eternity if he fails to accept its every incredible claim about the universe, and he seems to require no evidence whatsoever."

Hi,
I lost my cousin, who was like my sister, when she was 16 (I was 17).
She was in a car which lost control and hit a tree.

How do people who believe in God explain these kinds of tragedies?
How are they justified in the eyes of the Church?
How could a loving God let so many people go through so much loss?

Views welcomed from ALL religions...........
xxxxxxx
