The levity in your question is that some people are actually trying to rationalize the flood.

Why would they need a boat? What was the emergency? A crazy man said that there would be a disaster because God told him so. That's just crazy! And this rain thing, what the hell is that? There never was rain before that time, and there probably wouldn't be anything-- whatever rain was, it couldn't happen because there was no God. So Noah was one of those religious nuts who was so crazy that he believed that he talks with an imaginary being called God, and he began to build a boat that was way to impractical, on land that didn't have any water on it.

Whoever would listen to that nut would probably get in the boat. Otherwise there was the lives of those who didn't listen-- they had stuff to do. They didn't want to worry about whatever that nut Noah said.

Some believed that at that time in the world it did not rain. In Genesis it says during the days of Noah, the earth was watered by springs and mists from the ground. So, when Noah said that water was going to fall out of the sky and flood everything they though He was crazy. They had never seen rain, so they would have to believe in something they had never seen before. So, why would they make a boat for something they did not believe in.

I am going to give you a very short lesson in Gods Word. I see by your other questions all you are doing is making fun of God and mocking Him, BUT that is between you and Him as you are the ONLY ONE who has to answer forr it. God Will not give up on you, BUT I am NOT going to beat my head against a Brick wall. I have planted the Spiritual Seed of Truth, and it is up to YOU to Nurture It OR let it die. Now for the very short lesson:

Up until the time of Noah, IT DID NOT Rain on the Earth, AND there was no one else righteous enough to be saved except the eight (8) Souls who went into the Ark. Noah, his wife, and sons and their wives. Pick up the Word of God, (wear Asbestos Gloves IF you think that it will burn you) and READ the account of the Flood WITH Understanding and with Spiritual Eyes OPEN, and you will come to know the Truth. Do not take my word for it as I am nothing but a man, BUT take Gods Word for it as HE IS the Author, and the Composer. The Volume of the Book, (Scriptures) is written concerning ME. Psalms 40:7---Hebrews 10:7

No boat that was not made to God's specifications could have withstood all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

Genesis 7:10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. 12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. 13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

Because it rained so hard and so fast they did not have any time to it was to late for them they tried to get in Noah's boat but the doors were locked and Noah could not open it up because the water was coming so fast it swept Noah's boat away

Back then "the world" was pretty much the desert, Israel, Iraq (Babylon), and so on. Most people that live in the desert don't own boats. They probably thought Noah was a freaking crazy man.

Because they didn't make one. They didn't listen and continued to live a worldly life. No God did not strike them with lightning. The world literally filled up with water. Completely filled. How do you think we got mountains,craters and caves.

No one at that time had even seen rain and Noah building an ark in the middle of the desert was crazy. They all perished because of unbelief and were all insane--just like today every one is insane-- except one Jesus Christ who is the source of all life and peace.

how many boats had roofs to keep from filling up with water. then how many had food to to last hundreds of days. or better yet why did you want to make a point about Judaism. you obviously did not think this one through to much
