So many people make false statements about Islam w/out trying to learn even the basics of this religion. In todays modern world with information at our very fingertips there really isnt any excuse to be so ignorent. Do you really think Bush is a christian? Then you havent read the bible. Wasnt it jesus who said "revenge is mine" ? or how about " Him without sin may cast the first stone"? "Judge not less yee be judged"and truly my favorite "There is none so blind as he who refuses to see"

The following link was supplied in an answer to another person's question.

The stuff in the linked website is a classic example of right wing christians twisting the words of their little book to suit their own ends.

To tell followers of a religion that is supposedly based on the life of someone who tried telling people to be nice to each other that they have an obligation to kill is obscene and dangerous.

The part that I read before being too sickened to go further related to "an obligation to kill murderers" being more important than the idea of "turn the other cheek".

Aside from the pure evil of this, does it not become the thin edge of the wedge?

Given enough political clout, would these guys start killing heretics?

For the sake of my children's future, I want to do what I can to stop the spread of this filfth.

Is it not dangerous and immoral?

I have heard all about it, I read Bible many times. But I simply can not accept Jesus as my personal savior blah blah blah. No matter what YOU christians tell me YOUR FAITH. I have prayed about it, asked about it.....did all that. but I can not simply accept this Jesus thing. Besides I think its external issue, I feel I need internal for self discovery and inner peace. Its not about ME ME ME, I know, its about JESUS, but in the end, Christian would say "salivation" offering IF YOU BELIEVE.....so it comes down to ME ME ME with CONDITIONAL love. Simply Christianity is MADE NOT TO BE ABLE to ARGUE nor DISPROVE by anything. Its easily made religion for convenience, an excuse.....and I will go to hell and party~! Kidding. I just can not be so narrow brought up in multi diverse culture with different religion all around. I do not think any of them are evil except cult. But Christianity seems VERY interesting and ....its just how can I learn to accept Jesus part? I've done praying for it, etc

Most of us are aware of the concept of Consecrated or Holy Land, however the amount of land that has been made Holy (on Earth) is pretty much limited to the land around churches and grave yards. Question: If God made EVERYTHING that we know and see, why are mountains, beaches, hills and valleys all not Holy, should not every piece of land on this planet be equal. (Note: I understand that the Indians have a similar belief about the River Ganges being Holy, and that very recently they started to acknowledge that water from the Ganges could end up pretty much anywhere on this planet, and therefore they should consider all water equally holy)

Do you feel called by God to accept the position of Missionary? Do you know any other Christians who are currently in the position of Missionary? This is just something I've been pondering doing as of late.

that no matter how many arguments we point out. no matter how many flaws we find in your religion, you will never ever admit them. you will make an excuse at all costs because you have to. regardless of how correct we may be, in your mind you have no choice but to find an excuse, bucause owning up to flaws in your belief system isnt a possibility in your mind?

will you admit this is true?

Islam is a distant relative of Christianity, but in a different land. Good and bad exsists in all religious sectors.

This isn't asking about whether you think he really existed or not. I have not made up my mind about that one yet.

I'm basically just asking what were or are your thoughts on him, like on his character and on his teaching; stuff like how you should always turn the other cheek, how you should not try to defend yourself when being attacked, and to give unto anyone who asks
