ive asked many questions about teaching creationism in science class and nobody gave me a good answer. Doesnt that prove that evolution is more plausible than that creationism garbage?

I have been a mormon all my life, and we aren't hiding anything. We share our beliefs with the world. If you are a mormon also, can you tell me how you feel? I don't understand exactly what rumors have been going around about our church.

Is this statment true?

If a fair maiden kisses a frog which instantly changes into a handsome prince we would call it a fairy tale. But if the frog takes 40 million years to turn into a prince we call it evolution.

i am a solitary "practicer" of the craft but i need some help! lately i've noticed it's become a little difficult to keep myself from sending negativity in people's direction. for example, an ex-boyfriend went out of his way to frighten me on the street the other day. instead of just telling myself that "the universe will take care of it" and letting it go as i normally would, i actually felt the anger come out of me and toward him. i didn't like the feeling at all! does this ever happen to anyone? what can i do to control it?

There is no such thing as an evolutionist. There are scientists, atheists, pagans, Christians, Muslims, Jews and many others of all faiths that understand evolution. There are good Christian/Muslim/Jewish/Buddhist/Hindu/Pagan folk who just try to be good people and leave the rest of us in peace. There are also fundamentalists nut jobs in each and every religion. They kill, force others to believe, try to pass legislation etc.
Evolution, abiogenesis, and Big Bang are separate things and while all science life are connected, they are not to be lumped together. Can we just continue our morning/afternoon working off the same definitions? I think I may have already lost my mind trying to explain the fact that there is no such thing as an evolutionist.

I have recently posted and had replies from Christians that say they don't wear Christian clothing, pins, bumper stickers, yard flags etc because they can't act "perfect". Did you know you may be the only Bible a person may see in their entire life ? I think we Christians should put up and put on outward symbols of Christ, I think that is what He meant by let His light shine.Yes, we can be kind, but so can non-believers and I think our job on this earth is to be available for those who want to know about Jesus and how are they going to find us if we put our lights under a bushel like Satan wants us to do, just like in the song, "don't let Satan blow it out". For those of you who want to answer with smart aleck answers, I'll just report you. I don't mind opposing opinions, just not smart aleck ones.

Take Christianity for example, how does a Christian justify Muslims, Hindu's, Buddhists, Animists, etc. Are they doomed to go to hell? What about all those with no possible connection to said religion, say Africa for example (tribes not Islam Africa), they've all done good, are they doomed to go to hell for not following said religon, ex. Christianity (I say Christianity because I assume the predominate of viewers will be of that religion).

And in doing so you are basically saying their religion is wrong/fake/phony, and they are saying the same to you. Though your God may be the same, his word, the word, everything else isn't.

How do you justify this? I am curious from an innocent aspect.

How did evolution become a proven theory? Last time I checked it was false because of the evidence that goes against it....

What is your opinion? Beyond Belief Fact or Fiction? Solid or Fantasy? What is evolution to you?

If Atheists don't believe in God or the afterlife, then why are they so set on getting Christians to not believe? If God isn't real and there is nothing after death, then why would it matter what Christians believe?

Someone just said that evolution tells us how we developed, not how we were created, so does this mean that the 2 can go hand in hand, or does evolution just totally disprove the creation story?

I want to check these 2 numbers, one my husband has dialed and the other called in and hung up with no message. He is supposed to be at his parents' house in a small city but when I did a free search, the numbers are in a smaller town that doesn't even have a Wal-mart. Should I pay to find out who these 2 numbers belong to? He claimed to me that he was just going there and then coming back, maybe eating breakfast there.
Should I call the numbers? If so what do I say if it's another woman's number? He should be back by now if he was doing just what he said he was doing. I've had problems in this area before.
Now that I'm up, should I just drop by his parents' house? But then we might just miss each other.
No matter how I look at it he'll just have another excuse.
