"...as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day..." Luke 41:16

The Sabbath day, since the creation of the earth, is sundown Friday until sundown Saturday - the 7th day. (Genesis 2:2,3)

I noticed some answerers tried to reason around not worshiping on the 7th day by saying Jesus worshiped on all days - no doubt about that. But the 4th commandment says to labor 6 days and keep the Sabbath day holy. Man cannot change what God has sanctified. There's a warning against that in Daniel 7:25 (some power would think to change "times and laws"). Or by saying the resurrection was on Sunday. Well, it was, and God gave us baptism by immersion to commemorate the resurrection, not Sunday worship. (Colossians 2:12, Romans 6:3,4)

It all comes down to: are we going to follow God like Jesus did, or are we going to follow man.

He worshiped everyday....but the Holiest day was the seventh day of the week which was Saturday....Sunday was adopted later (because of the resurrection) Sunday is technically the first day of the week.

The point of Jesus life was to worship and teach, and die for our sins. He did the first two daily and the last one time.
Thanks be to God.
