I am getting married in Aug this year and my fiance's sister-in-law has said that she cannot attend if we are not going to be married by a Catholic priest or minister and she will be angry at my fiance's brother(her husband) if he attends. I am not Catholic and do not know if this is possible, I have been told that there is no such thing as a Catholic minister. Also, it is an outdoor wedding, not in a church.

Is there a God of all possible gods? - an all encompassing set of all sets that is inclusive of all domains of space, time, and thought? Perhaps we are the co-creators of the perceptual universe. A dream within a dream? What is in a name? A rose by any other name still smells as sweet. What can exist and what cannot exist? Continuity appears to us as a necessary requisite for a causal justification of the status quo. To be completely honest though, I don't know.

angels, or deities from 'round the world, or a spirit guide?

Lately,I get these little sentences from out of the blue.with soft little voices, that say to me...."hey, you should buy this...this is really more for you! " or "You would look so much better in THESE earrings, those other ones....just will not do it for you,...you need these, instead!"(and normally I ignore those little voices...but, lately, I have listened...and ya know? those little "soft" voices I have heard...were absolutely correct! )I don't know how they know what they know..but, they were right on target!!! I keep thinking..."Uhh, they are NOT gonna be right.!"But, they have been right, all along!!

No, I am NOT MENTALLY ILL...or even schizo', thank you very much! I really have heard some little suggestive voices...kind of tiny...that just want to pitch in and help!

anybody know what's happening here?
Has this ever happened to you?

I honestly feel for you. I went to a church tonight with my family- a church full of nice people, and the women seemed to be happy.

But it was openly sexist- giving positions of authority only to men. I looked at all the women and thought- "they all believe that it's okay that men are allowed to be in charge at church and they are not".

I honestly wanted to cry. Don't you feel limited by your gender in the church? Are you like the ladies I saw tonight who were okay with it? If so, why?

On 1980 while building his "City of Faith" Oral ran into funding shortfalls. He claimed to see a 900 foot Jesus. Did you Pentacostals really find that plausable? A direct quote from the time and verifiable I may add.

May 25, 1980, while overlooking his religious center which was in
financial difficulty:

"`I felt an overwhelming holy presence all around me. When I opened my
eyes, there He stood ... some 900 feet tall, looking at me ... He stood a
full 300 feet taller than the 600-foot-tall City of Faith. There I was
face to face with Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God. I have only
seen Jesus once before, but here I was face to face with the King of
kings. He reached down, put his Hands under the City of Faith, lifted it,
and said to me, "See how easy it is for Me to lift it!"'"

"Oral recalled that his eyes filled with tears, and Jesus assured him that
He would speak to the ministry's partners and that the City of Faith
would be finished"

You really buy into this stuff?

Christians and Atheists, present your best arguments for the OTHER position. (i.e., if you are Christian, what is the best argument AGAINST god's existence? ...if you are Atheist, what is the best argument FOR god's existence?)

No embedded counterarguments! This should be tough for everyone.

Most convincing case wins... Good luck. :)

Also, why do we say our prayers in the name of Jesus, if God is above Jesus? I believe the Bible says no one goes to God accept through Jesus. Or am I misunderstanding this? Should all prayers be ended by saying "I pray all these things in Jesus name"?

When I was a kid, I was an avid church-goer and I loved Jesus. When I was about eight years old, my neighbor hinted to me I should be baptized. At that moment, I broke into a cold sweat and my heart rate doubled.
