Well,I really don't see anything wrong about having more than one church. But according to my Pastor, its more recommended to stick to the church where you got baptized, unless your moving to a far place away from that church...But I think there is no harm.

Yes and no. If you are going there to see what the teachings are and to see if it is a church you would want to attend, then there is nothing wrong with it, as it is always ok to taste the fruit. Now if you are a Mennonite and attending catholic mass and you don't believe in the catholic religion, then yes, it is wrong to be there because you will get confused. I was in a similar sort of situation. I had just became a born again Christian (saved) and I was attending a Bible study at a Pentecostal church. I started to notice that they teach baptism in the Holy Spirit and talking in tongues when they prayed. I also noticed that my other Bible study group with the Mennonites and ex-Hutterites did not practice this. I got a little confused and decided to quit attending the Bible study at the Pentecostal church. This is why I would not do it. It is best to pick one good church that teaches salvation through Jesus Christ and teaches the true word of God without all the "extras" that some religions require.

Honey, I don't think God cares what building you meet Him at as long as you show up! I know people who go to 2 churches because their "home" church doesn't have anything on Wednesday night and they want their kids plugged into a church as much as possible. There is nothing wrong with that

Actually, you should belong to one church and it's okay to visit other churches. I say that because God has an ordained order for everybeliever's life. He has chosen a pastor for everyone to be under so that pastor can train them up to enter their calling. However, what you will find if you go to different churches is that different churches have a different mission from God. So you will be getting a different vision from different pastors. Naturally, you will find a conflict in trying to fulfill all these different visions. There is a certain calling and mission God has called you to and you have to find that certain calling and stick with it. Church hopping is usually a sign of spiritual instability and most people do it because the Word of God convicts them and they keep looking for a church until they find something "comfortable". If you every find a church that's "comfortable" you are in trouble.

No there is nothing wrong with going to more than one church, but remember that God isn't just in churches. He is everywhere and you are free to talk to Him outside of the walls of a church as well as inside of them.

It depends on your reasoning. Are you going because there is something one church is lacking over the other??
At the end of the day, it is not a bad idea to have two church families, as long as you can devote the time to participate in activities for each of them (which may be a hurdle)....
And as long as you are seeking God from each and nothing more...

I don't see anything wrong with it, and if a church is actually jealous of you going to any other it begins to look like they're more about getting your money than saving your soul. Unless you find a place that really suits you perfectly that you want to commit to and devote more energy to, shopping around is exactly what I'd expect you to do.

No, how would you ever know which one you'll feel comfortable in. Do a personal investigation. I would recommend you take Bible studies so that you could know which church is practicing the truth.

my beliefs from the bible have taught me this, there are alot of buildings where people go on sundays or anyother day of the week, but jesus said if you destroyed this temple he would rebuild it in 3 days, he meant if they killed him, a new temple, his resurrected body and church would be built and is still being built today, the church is the body of christ, the body of christ are those who are united with him in spirit through spiritual rebirth at baptism, being born again and becoming children of God, all being built up into God's new holy temple, all with the same holy spirit inside of them, so i suggest you keep drawing closer to God by digging through scripture and come to your own convictions through prayer and reading, there is only one church, God's church, God's spiritual body of children, those who love the truth and hate wickedness and follow him, ill pray that you find God's people and that God answers your questions, thanks for reading
