Anybody here believe in............?

Question

angels, or deities from 'round the world, or a spirit guide?

Lately,I get these little sentences from out of the blue.with soft little voices, that say to me...."hey, you should buy this...this is really more for you! " or "You would look so much better in THESE earrings, those other ones....just will not do it for you,...you need these, instead!"(and normally I ignore those little voices...but, lately, I have listened...and ya know? those little "soft" voices I have heard...were absolutely correct! )I don't know how they know what they know..but, they were right on target!!! I keep thinking..."Uhh, they are NOT gonna be right.!"But, they have been right, all along!!

No, I am NOT MENTALLY ILL...or even schizo', thank you very much! I really have heard some little suggestive voices...kind of tiny...that just want to pitch in and help!

Has this ever happened to you?

I have heard my voices tell me NOT to do certain things...such as deal with certain persons..."such and such will happen to you, if you..." and did I listen at that time? Oh no! I did not !! And lo and behold,! Darn if those voices were dead right!!!
I still ignore them, most of the time..but, they have kept me a bit more alert of some "happenings' around me...and I don't sit there and say "I refuse to listen"...I listen,and then decide what to do next!
You never know....perhaps they know better than I do!!!

I believe in angels and demons. I also believe that a spiritual guide, in the way I've heard and read it being used, is a demon.

Matthew 7:15-16."Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves. By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?"

Match what you are being told to what the bible says, and your conscience says. Demons will want you to do selfish things, while angels and the holy spirit will want you to do things which bring pure love, grace, and mercy into the world.

If you have accepted the holy spirit, then you have the authority to tell the demons to shut up and demand that only the what the holy spirit says can come through. If you don't have the holy spirit in you, then it's much more difficult to tell the difference between what a demon says and an angel or the holy spirit says.

Demons will mess you up. They will lie to you, trick you, and use you.

I like the Frank Peretti books, "This Present Darkness" and "Piercing the Darkness". Perhaps these books, which are fictional, will help you understand the difference.

Demons are not about love, grace and mercy.

hm....the fashon demons are paying u a visit, eh? yeah, there are such things as spirits (angels, demons, ect) that can talk to you, but i have never heard of a case where they addvised u o your apperal. hm, i call this either a serious shopp-a-holic syndrom, or your imagination. no offence but imao this is one of the funniest things i have ever heard, u sure u arent making this up? or maybe the sales clerks have some knew addvertising gadget up their sleeve....

I think this is your id, not an angel. I don't think you're mentally ill, but you are looking for an other-worldy excuse to be impulsive and indulgent, which is very common. As long as you meet your responsibilities in life, go ahead and be as indulgent as you wish and don't make up any excuses (e.g. don't spend your rent money on earings, etc.).

Christians including Catholics believe in angels.

St. Augustine says: "'Angel' is the name of their office, not of their nature. If you seek the name of their nature, it is ‘spirit'; if you seek the name of their office, it is ‘angel': from what they are, ‘spirit,' from what they do, ‘angel.'"

With their whole beings the angels are servants and messengers of God. Because they "always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven" they are the "mighty ones who do his word, hearkening to the voice of his word."

As purely spiritual creatures angels have intelligence and will: they are personal and immortal creatures, surpassing in perfection all visible creatures, as the splendor of their glory bears witness.

From the Incarnation to the Ascension, the life of the Word incarnate is surrounded by the adoration and service of angels.

When God "brings the firstborn into the world, he says: ‘Let all God's angels worship him.'" (Heb 1:6)

Their song of praise at the birth of Christ has not ceased resounding in the Church's praise: "Glory to God in the highest!" (Lk 2:14)

They protect Jesus in his infancy, serve him in the desert, strengthen him in his agony in the garden, when he could have been saved by them from the hands of his enemies as Israel had been. (Cf. Mt 1:20; 2:13, 19; 4:11; 26:53; Mk 1:13; Lk 22:43; 2 Macc 10:29-30; 11:8)

Again, it is the angels who "evangelize" by proclaiming the Good News of Christ's Incarnation and Resurrection. (Cf. Lk 2:8-14; Mk 16:5-7)

They will be present at Christ's return, which they will announce, to serve at his judgment. (Cf. Acts 1:10-11; Mt 13:41; 24:31; Lk 12:8-9)

No its not totally out of the question, while I havent had anything like that happen to me, you would have to be pretty closed minded to believe they dont exist.

The one I hear alot is "you should get on your knees and pray" and I listen, scared not to lol, its a mystery. God meant it to be that way.

I believe, it is your voice ,do you go shopping by yourself? are you lonely, i think that your imaginary voices help you , it's OK and it's normal.
