Really, I found that evolution contradicts itself a lot because it's always asking about life and it always makes theories. Evolution Is JUST a theory. Creation tells the truth, plus evolution is an excuse of keeping God out of it.

I'm Protestant...My boyfriend is Catholic. We just recently got into a "discussion" about Easter.

I don't know much about Catholicism and he doesn't know much about my religion either. But as a Protestant, I do not take part in Lent. I have nothing against the tradition, I'm just unfamiliar with it and never practiced it.

We were talking about this and he pretty much stated that I "basically don't celebrate Easter then"

This really bothered me. What are the differences between Catholics/Protestants in topics such as these?

One of mine was a line from "Round Here" by George Michael, the line is "Every time I try to leave this place, something inside says 'You can do better.'"

Imagine if you will you are way back in the past before the platypus was discovered. Now lets say you came across this animal that had fur like a mammal, a bill of a duck, tail of a beaver, layed eggs and spent a lot of time in water. According to logic back then such a creature couldn't possibly exist. would you be forced into changing your logic? if so wouldn't this cause your logic to contradict itself? Now lets say you were to see with your own two eyes a ghost/spirit or something else in nature that seems illogical, would you assume you were hallucinating or would you be forced to change your logic? And before you ask how I go from platypus to spirits it's "logically" the same thing to me.

so i'm really sick of my mom trying to get be to believe in God. i tried telling her that a lot of the stories in the bible came from mythologies. blah, blah, blah. then we started talking about morals and sins. i told her that every has different morals and that there's not really such thing as a sin. something can seem normal and ok to one person, but it's something totally wrong for another. it's a matter of what a person believes in, what their environment was, and i guess how they were raised. what is your take on the matter? what are your takes and your definition of morals and sins? how are they different?
