Not at all. Neither science nor reasoning are incompatible with Christianity, despite the claims that some people make to the contrary. The more I learn about how the world works, the more in awe I am of God's creativity and genius.
And anybody who's ever gone up against a brilliant Jesuit priest in a battle of wits can tell you that reasoning is a highly-prized skill among many Christians.

Nope.
Here are some quotes for "them" to chew on.
"There is no incompatibility between science and religion... Science shows that God exists." - Prof. D. Barton, Nobel Prize Chemistry
"If I had no other data than the early chapters of Genesis, some of the Psalms and other passages of Scripture, I would have arrived at essentially the same picture of the origin of the universe, as is indicated by the scientific data." Nobel Prize-winning physicist Arno Penzias (Big Bang Theorist)
"The principle of [divine] purpose ... stares the biologist in the face wherever he looks ... . The probability for such an event as the origin of DNA molecules to have occurred by sheer chance is just too small to be seriously considered ... ."Ernst Boris Chain - Nobel Prize in medicine
"So many of my colleagues are Christians that I can't walk across my church's fellowship hall without tripping over a dozen physicists."
William D. Phillips awarded the 1997 Nobel Prize in physics
We Christians are however the enemies of hatred, bigotry, and ignorance.

Well let's get a few things straight.
The POPE and BILLY GRAHAM did NOT MAKE or TEST the first A BOMB
It was OPPENHEIMER and ROOSEVELT in SECRET and that SECRET was shared by NO MORE than 1,000 people in the world. Even VP Truman didn't know.
OK. So DON'T BLAME the Christians or JEWS or MUSLIMS for the A BOMB. Got it
It was the SCIENTISTS and SOCIALISTS that make that happen.
A Catholic Priest pushed through the Big Bang Theory
A Catholic Abbott was the Father of Genetics
Isaac Newton, a scientist, postulated the DATE that Jesus was Crusified.
Einstein said SCIENCE WITHOUT RELIGION IS LAME and RELIGION WITHOUT SCIENCE IS BLIND.
Enough said about SCIENCE and RELIGION

I don't know any Christians.
If you're talking about church people, I would say no they are not enemies of science.
Belief in god is an emotional thing. You don't need scientific evidence if you really really need to believe in god. Religion and science are two different things.
It may be that church people don't want to hear a lot of science, but I doubt they could be considered enemies of it.

Not at all. True science is observation, experimentation and reproduction. Such science brings us advances that contribute to mankind. Science is not limited to the biological either. There is mechanical, computer, geologic and many other sciences. These are all great to watch as it progresses. Where things get dicey is when they politicize it, skew it to fit a world view, endanger humanity, or lower the sanctity of life.
However, the problem with science is that it is limited--it is limited to the physical. Your soul is eternal. The Bible deals with what is eternal where science cannot venture. The physical realm will pass away, and science will pass away with it. What you want to do is latch onto that which will last forever, and that is the Word of God.
Science deals with understanding and comprehending creation. Religion deals with the understanding and comprehension of the Creator.
Luke 21:33
“Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.

No. Several posters here have answered you well. I agree with them also. God is the creator of the science that men use to study his creation. That includes the scientific method, math, and the experimentation and testing used to study the data.

Who cares what atheists claim. If they don't believe in God why should they care if Christians believe in science or not?
