Most Christians would probably say 'no one' but then why do Christians stands idly by while they let their government torture people just to get information out of them? Why aren't they making a stink over it if Christians are SO Moral? We know it's happened and there's nothing to say its not happening now. What what's up with that?

I am looking for the exact quote and talk that Spencer W. Kimball gave where he made the statement 'every honorable young man should serve a mission'. It would be helpful if you could tell me which General Conferance [year, and date] this was given in. I have found so many misquotings of this talk, that it is hard to find the original.

I am currently debating about whether or not I should go on a mission. I have the faith to go, but after prayer, scripture reading, fasting, and everything else possible, I dont feel the call to serve. I am not hearing the still small voice telling me to go on a mission, but rather to study music because I havent been given the chance to hone my talent until this point in my life. And, as I have been told by my bishopric and by several of my teachers, a raw musical talent like mine isnt often found.

So, if you could point me to the talk in which that statement was given, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!

To theists (not all), what is the point in helping us live longer lives, when our worldly lives are just a spec compared to eternity.

To atheists (not all), I asked what the point of humanity is, and some said that it was survival. Don't you think we have this down pat? It may actually be worse for humanity if the average life expectancy keeps getting higher and higher.

This may be stupid, but I think it is a good point. Stop wasting time on things we don't need. If we have made it this far without it, why do we need to discover it or create it?

I don't belave Jesus was needed to be crucified, it was just Gods only way to love us. The lord our God says seek ye first the kingdom of God and ALL his righteousness. If a man like me seeked after God to learn the ways of righteousness, we would die righteous. The blood was given cuss no one wanted to desire after God in there life, or his ways, but desire there own way. Then we die in sin, and death would destroy us. God sent his son to us to be the perfect sacrifice, we die with him. he puts his righteousness upon us through the blood. I bet God did not want his son to be a sacrifice, he just wanted everyone in there life to long after him and his righteousness, and die righteous, then go home.God only said to Adam and Eve do not eat from this tree cuss U will die, did not say U would be sinful just have the knowledge of Good and evil. If we seek Gods face, can he not Aline us with good, instead of both, and be like him, but we would die as good people in his eyes. more..

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
Joh 3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

He is a human being like you and me. He bleeds and he will die eventually. I dont why people worship him when the bible says Jesus is God and not the Pope.

Also, being the leader of a lot of Christians or Catholics, isn't the POPE a hypocrite for living such a lavish lifestyle like a celebrity instead of living modestly without much material wealth?

Basically I thought all are similar, but I found out they are not. Can you tell me what different between them?

The people of God are referred to in scripture by different names. What does it mean for God’s people to be:
• the “elect”
• “members”
• “believers”
• “disciples”
• “Christians”
• “brethren”
• the “body of Christ”
