I haven't been to Church in 12 years. You don't need Church to prove that you believe. I have my own personal relationship with God that is nobodys business. No pastor, minister or priest. For those that think I'm not a good Christian I say only sinners need to go to church

Because of my new job and school, I have very little time with my family. So, today I spent it with my family instead of going to church and we went and saw a free movie together. As a Christian, I feel that church is very important, but I really needed some time with my family for a change.

Yes. I learned that Jesus story of his entry into Jerusalem in Luke has a lot of details (which donkey, what to tell the owner, where it was to be found). However, Jesus for the most part was not a details guy. Not a Type A, usually not in a rush to be places, he stopped to cure people on the way to cure others, and took time to teach lots of people. He rarely argued with others and deflected criticism by asking his critics tough questions.
Lesson: Pay attention to the details that bog down your life and sap your energy. Don't let picky people pollute your day.

No I didn't go to church today as I left christianity 24 years ago. I usually spend my Sundays doing housework, cooking and today sleeping since I am working the graveyard shift tonight.

Yes I went because to stay spiritually strong you need to be given spiritual encouragement. I didn't necessarily learn anything new but was reminded of how we shouldn't feel bad because of our imperfections. The brother giving the talk included this story about the cracked pot...it felt worthless because it lost half its water every day on the way home while the pot on the other side was perfect and lost no water and its owner finally reassured it that because of its imperfection he had planted seeds and the pot had been watering the seeds everyday and because of this he had beautiful flowers to fill his house. God uses us even though we have imperfections and is happy with what we can give back to him.

I used to go, but I don't now. As for why I don't go??? I started to understand what I was reading in the Scriptures and church is typically the opposite of what we are supposed to be doing to honor Yah. Church is lip service, dedicating every day of your life to God is walking in faith.
Amen to the guy above me...

Yes I did
I was great as always
Because I am greatful that I can live in a country where freedom of religion can be enjoyed... and because my church's pastor is quite the storey teller and makes scripture come alive for me.
It was great.... wonderful contemporary worship - great message - awesome fellowship!
blessings.
