as sad as it is I see ppl. in need all the time, altough i do what I can, I can only touch a few. should USA do more? I see millions spent on useless research, should'nt PPl. come first?

J D , me and my husband have stared helping funding homeless selters salvation army ect, I'm trying to open in the future a houseing aid program for PPL. who get laid off work..thats my dream

Because the politcal elite think more of lining their pockets, than of helping their constituents.

Which - the ones who go to the hair dresser weekly, get their nails done, buy only brand name clothing for themselves and their kids with the welfare check. I do know that they can't afford to buy food. Or those who work two or three days a week just to get sufficient money to go to the clubs. Can't be either, right?

In America, a CAPITALIST NATION, it's NOT our job to solve all those problems.
We DIVERSIFY our portfollio
You DO realize in 100 years there will be over 20 BILLION people in the world, MOST OF WHOM are NOT in the US and will be starving.
How about we take HALF YOUR FOOD and give it to strangers in Africa
WILL THAT BE A GOOD THING
CAN YOU live on 50% less
Let's START with YOU
Give up HALF of what you eat so others can eat.
We are COMING TO YOUR HOUSE starting tomorrow and taking HALF of what is on your breakfast, lunch and dinner plate and GIVING IT to someone else.
Is that COOL

If people are starving in the USA, then they should be ashamed of themselves. With all the government aid that is available, no one should go hungry.
When the government fails to help, there are plenty of food banks that are very generous.
People go hungry because they won't seek out the help that is truly available.

Bureaucracy and red tape. They tie up the money by adding riders to bills for their favorite causes, themselves!

People starving in the usa are starving because of bad choices they have made... people starving in central america are starving because of their government.

I'm for not sending israel billions a month, and having the American tax payer support fellow Americans, not paying " settlers " $150 000+ per person to move.
