TeePotts I'm not referring to what people do who do not follow the Bible. This question is concerning Jesus, God, and the Bible. So my question is not ignorant, you just don't understand why I'm asking it. Which means you are probably not Christian. Why are there so many rude people on here?

Tori this is an important observation! It is true, people will worship many things: Satan, humans, animals, objects, even themselves. However, Saints should only be concerned with who the Lord tells us is worthy of True Worship.

There are also people who say Jesus never "asked" to be Worshiped, to justify their belief that Jesus was not God in the Flesh. However, the sole purpose that Jesus walked the earth was to teach, rebuke, correct, and build the faith of man.

Thus, is it not logical to believe, He would have corrected those who Worshiped Him if they were in error????

Now to answer your question.....

Fact: The Bible tells us only God is to be Worshiped!

However, there are various scriptures which clearly state JESUS was worshiped in the FLESH.

Here are a few:

Matthew 2:2 - After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, "Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star and have come to WORSHIP him."

Luke 24:52 - Then they(disciples) WORSHIPED him(Jesus) and returned to Jerusalem with great joy.

John 9:35-38 - Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he WORSHIPED him.

Matthew 14:33 - Then those(disciples) who were in the boat WORSHIPED him(Jesus), saying, "Truly you are the Son of God."

Fact: The Lord states He would never share or give his GLORY to another....not to ANYONE.....

Isaiah 42:8 - I am the LORD; that is my name! I will not give my GLORY to another or my praise to idols.

Yet here are several scriptures where JESUS clearly receives this GLORY.

Here are a few of many:

John 17:22 - I have given them the GLORY that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.

John 17:5 - And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the GLORY I had with you before the world began.

For the sake of brevity, I've only listed a few scriptures which prove why Jesus and God are the same. However, there are many, many, more. Do not be deceived by False prophets who speak from their own minds and intellects, blinded by "religion" and spiritual pride.

Note: Be discerning...and recognize when a WORD has been changed, or SLIGHT reference misinterpreted to change truth. False teaching rarely makes aggressive, and overt changes.

This is why many are deceived!

Trust your Heavenly Father and His inspired word(not humans). God is supernatural, and above human understanding. Thus, it is not impossible that He can be God-Father, God-Son, and God-Holy Spirit in ONE, even if mortal minds find it difficult to believe.

Blessings, Miji

There is God, the Father, God, the Son and God, the Holy Spirit. All are God and all are worshiped.

God the Father, is our Heavenly Father. He is the creator. He answers our prayers and petitions.

Jesus, God the Son, is our Savior and the head of His followers, the church. We can come before God with our prayers and petitions because of Jesus' sacrifice which brought Christians back into a relationship with God. He was also present during the creation. He is called the Word of God made flesh.

God, the Holy Spirit, was sent to the earth by Jesus when He took His place beside God in Heaven after His ascension.

The Holy Spirit is our comforter and our guide. He is here with us on earth. The Holy Spirit is the Christians gift from God, lives inside all Christians and is present in our lives, just as much as the Christian allows Him to be. He carries our prayers and petitions to God. He was also present during the creation.

All three persons are God with some same and some different ways of relating to us.

Jesus IS God. He is God in the flesh.

Here is a link showing some of the many places in the Bible that refer to the divinity of Jesus:

Well, I would think the people were hoping that this so called "Son of God" was actually a God and could cure all their problems. However, the people who loved him and wanted from him feared for their own lives and some were also the ones who turned on him and gave him up to the authorities.
Jesus saw it coming and did not defend himself. He turned the other cheek to mankind and practiced what he preached.
Ironically, before he died he lost his faith momentarily because of the pain, the horrible pain and confusion caused by the most cruel form of execution, the Crucifixion.
As Jesus the Lord died, he was turned from human to immortal when he summoned the courage to tell all of us to bare no grudge against his tormentors nor his executioners; "For they Know Not what They Do! " He had to be a God at that moment because no human could have such forgiveness in his heart.
The Lord's final words and wishes for us, you and me, is find forgiveness in our hearts, to live forgiveness and be forgiveness as the Lord forgave all us from the Cross.

John 1

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

He was in the beginning with God.

And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father's only Son, full of grace and truth.

----> I hope this will clear the mind who did not believe Jesus...

Why do you say that Jesus is not God. The concept of the Holy Trinity - God the father, Jesus Christ his son, and the holy spirit - says that these are pardoxical in that they are separate entities and they are one. If you can accept that, which is not easy, then you will come to realize that Jesus is God.

"God in three persons. Blessed Trinity." Jesus and God are one and the same. That goes for the Holy Spirit as well.

Jesus is God become flesh.
