I'm a country girl currently living in a very small town-population under 600. I like the serenity of country living and someday I hope to return to it. From where I live now though, I'm less than two miles from a river (designated wild and scenic), and only 1/2 mile from thick, dense, virgin woods.
At night I can listen to the hoot owls and coyotes, the spring peepers, and the silence. I can watch the stars unobstructed and reconnect with nature. I've seen hawks eating their prey in the neighbor's willow tree, I've watched bald eagles circling, scared deer out from under my apple tree and had close encounters with black bears. It's a wonderful way of life.

Rural life certainly spawns meditation and the opportunity to observe the wonders of God's grace.

Depends on what you like to do. I enjoy aspects of both. City have more things to do. The country is good for relaxing, and just doing nothing.

Seaside town suits us, and the countryside is not far away either. Wouldn't like to live in a city or too far inland.
