im 16 years old. i molved in wioth my grandmother at 11. ever since then she has been cramming the idea of church into my head.she basically tried to raise me to believe that if you dont go to church, you go to hell.you have to dress up, and you have to sing all the songs. i visited this other church and no one dressed up and everyone was a true believer. they were really good people. and i the church that i go to is horrible, no offense. they repeat things over and over, sing endless songs, basically we do the same thing every sunday. we always have to dress up, and if you dont, you will be stared down like you have absolutly nothing on. theres no people my age, all of them are well over thier 60s!
i really dont enjoy going to church, but i am a true believer of god. Going to this church makes me wnat to not learn anything about god, which makes me feel horrible. isnt church supposed to make you feel good?this church i go to makes me wanna scream.

i'll be receiving a middle name in about 2 weeks for conformation, and i love the name Taylynn, i would love for that name to be my middle name, but i'm not sure if its a catholic name i can use!

Can you recommend any books, movies, t.v. shows that offer a positive example of Islam and its adherants?

I'm interested in learning more about the Middle East and Islam and would like suggestions of quality material.

As an informational sideline I've already read the Qur'an.

Sorry, this is going to be a little long, but I want to know every Christian's perspective on the following statement. Please only base your ideas on the Bible, and not your gut feelings, and look up the verses that I am citing, if you do not already know them off the top of your head.

Alrighty, I have been reading multiple verses for a week now concerning this one issue (don't worry, this one issue hasn't hindered my job as a Christian). I have come up with key verses that seem contradictary, but aren't, since we all know that the Bible is perfect. The Bible says that it is Jesus that saves us, not our works(Eph. 2:8, 1 Cor. 3 (but mainly 3:11-15)). It also states that we will be judged by our acts (Matt. 25:31-46) and that faith without works is dead (James 2:20). How do you get them to flow in harmony? Am I missing something? I'll share what I have concluded after others have given their answers. Thanks for all of your time, and I really appreciate it.

at my church tomorrow the will be the sacrament of penance from 3 to 9 at night. I am only 13 and my parents are working. they say i should go. in the past year i havent done anything awful but the usual talk back to parents and curse. I pray every night to God for him to forgive my sins, ansd i am truly sorry. I think this thing at my church is for older people..should i go and talk to the priest quick or just keep talking to Godm in private. Yeh im a catholic and I read The Sun this morning, and I thought yeh what a question to ask thanks for pinching my idea dino haha kidding.
Look I just dont understand how so many cahtolics can be offended to want to boycott this hotel or whatever. They made Jesus shouldn';t they be pleased they are making such a wonderful person, yeh ok its chocolate big deal?
I can't understand why so many people in religious groups (im not saying all) take it to such extremes as boycots just because someone has done the smallest thing which didnt mean offence they obviouslly are a follower of Jesus and shouldn't we promote it not turn our cheeks on such an idea? Jesus wouldn't want this to happen a boycott just because someone decided to make a chocolate sculpture thing of him. dear oh dear me..

How are the differences in ethnic groups explained by creationist Christians? Do any believe that the Tower of Babel story actually suggests changes in the physical appearance of those involved, along with their languages? I'm just curious as to how purists reconcile the evolution of humans in terms of geographical distinctions.
