God is more concerned about the people if Africa than you or I. Yes, His heart is grieved at their plight, but the problem with people starving is that do not want any part of Him. Some people would rather perish and let their families perish than accept help from God. God moves by faith. All the suffering in the world will not move Him. How can you accept help from someone you don't believe in? Or don't won't to believe in. You decision of choice is so well respected by God that He will not force Himself on you. So, if you choose to perish away in your sins, you have the right to do so. It is not God's desire, but man is a stubborn creature. God told Moses I have come down because the cry of my people has come into my ears. The result? God delivered them. The people in Africa are not different. If they cry into the ears of God, He will move for them also and speedily.

That is why we have missionaries. He has compassion.
Matt: 9:36-37 - But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion on them, because they fainted, and were scattered abroad, as sheep having no shepherd. Then saith he unto his disciples "The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few; pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laborers into his harvest."

Shakes His head thinks of all the missionaries he sends the money dump into Africa and each year when missionaries come back to find nothing being done.
At some point you have to take responsibility for you life.

He weeps out of pity for what we have made of the world. We do not love our neighbor enough to feed and clothe them. Our original sin has cursed the earth to make things like death and starvation possible in the first place. He felt bad enough about this to be willing to come to earth as a human and take all the pain and suffering on His back. Thats how much he cares and loves us.

God has already spoken on this matter in scripture, `W hen you do this to the least of My Brothers and Sisters then you do it to Me` and again He said` When I was hungry you never fed Me, when I was sick you never visited Me etc, so I think that it is quite plain to see that God will take all of us to account for the starvation of our brothers and sisters in Africa.
And by the way I am sick and tired of this cop out that people use often on here, why dosen`t God do something, and it goes on ad naseum, it is our remit and our charge to do something,if we really loved one another!

God probably feels the same as you. I think that anyone whether you are Christian or atheist should support some charity that helps kids over in 3rd world countries. It is the responsibility of all of us.

God's heart is hurt over the plight of those who do not have enough food to continue subsisting. He thinks, "There will be a day when starvation, poverty, or social injustice cease to exist."

Hey! Are you new? I haven't see you around here.
Frankly, God cannot be omniscent and benevolent at the same time.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

in order to put expectations on god , we have to assume we know how to define god. if i said god would do this______ if _______ happened, i'm assuming a lot. which makes me wonder what atheists definition of god is because they sure seem to know what he should do.
i assume he would be dissappointed
