Dear "alotta" - lol

Dear "K" - "Did you?" - wow, I was on my way to church, and I saw a young boy crying on the street corner. I said, lets help him, but my wife said "no way, we would be late to church".

a la "Good Samaratan"

Dear "K" - I said Jesus' instructions. Not Paul's instructions. Who do you follow Jesus, or Paul?

2007-04-01 10:42:55 · update #4

Dear "K" - Now, you know why some of us "Jesus followers" do not attend church. We are insulted by those who worship Paul's words. Did you not realize you just quoted a bunch of Paul's personal letters to his friends and business acquaintenances - the business of building Paul's empire and legacy.

I recently heard about a city with the highest number of churches per person and it has the highest number of murders in the world!

I went to church today ( did you?) and we learned about Jesus vs Death. Mankinds problems, Christ's Victory! it was pretty good actually. Scriptures he used
1 Corinthians 15:20-23
2 Timothy 1:10 , Romans 3:23 6:23 Romans 3:19-26
i dont feel guilty...i dont feel guilty if i do not attend, even though i know its important to go and i rarely miss! i also know that there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:1
EDIT> You my friend do not have to attend church if you choose not to! How dare you try and make it appear as though i am worshipping Paul. These scriptures i quoted where said by Paul yet if you read your bible you will know that ALL SCRIPTURE is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness
,2 Timothy 3:16 So watch it! i worship JESUS CHRIST as my Lord and savior!

Nope! The only thing I feel guilty about is that I've spent the majority of the day watching tv and on the internet rather than doing laundry and other things to prepare for the work week.

I have no idea which one of Jesus' teachings I missed out on.

I did not go to church today, and as i do not feel that Jesus is any authority, i do not feel one bit ashamed. I got some much needed rest, got the laundry done, and did some research. I feel i am much better off for not going to church today, as i am every Sunday.

Pauls not a mooron. He never said " GO TO CHURCH OR DIE" and if he did, thats not what he meant. What he meant was to practice our faith regularly, because it was him after all that said in one of his smaller letters, "You are the new Temple of God" . See what im saying?

I didn't attend a Christian based Church but I did attend a Theosophy meeting.

Church is irrelevant. I live in a mainly atheist society where hardly anyone goes to church.

No and no. Instead, I went walking in the mountains.

I don't care about Jesus' instructions.
