The stuff in the linked website is a classic example of right wing christians twisting the words of their little book to suit their own ends.

To tell followers of a religion that is supposedly based on the life of someone who tried telling people to be nice to each other that they have an obligation to kill is obscene and dangerous.

The part that I read before being too sickened to go further related to "an obligation to kill murderers" being more important than the idea of "turn the other cheek".

Aside from the pure evil of this, does it not become the thin edge of the wedge?

Given enough political clout, would these guys start killing heretics?

For the sake of my children's future, I want to do what I can to stop the spread of this filfth.

Is it not dangerous and immoral?

By the way, I'm not "holding this over the head of everyone who believes in Jesus"
I understand most christians are good people and would be just as appalled by this trash as I am

Absolutely it's dangerous and immoral.

I did like one thing I found on that site - as part of a blurb for the book "The Bible: You Can Believe It" it says:

"Make no mistake; if the Bible is not what it says it is [ie the word of God], it is not a good book at all-it is a pack of lies and the men who wrote it were colossal liars."

Can't argue with that!

The internet is full of people who are sharing their "ideas". Just because it is there doesn't mean it is something everyone agrees with or even condones. Perhaps it's time to stop assuming everyone is the same. We all could find sites that show the worst of a group we disagree with then use that to apply to everyone. It's irrational to hold this over the head of everyone who believes in Jesus.

Yes. But you can find websites on how to make a bomb, child porn, helping teens hide anorexia from their parents, black hate groups, white hate groups...all this is dangerous. We live in a dangerous world...we should all work to stop the spread of filth of every kind.

These "Christian" groups do not represent the majority of Christians. They are extremists...there are extremists that attach themselves to every cause. They do not always represent the views and beliefs of that group but because of their extreme behavior they often get the attention of the pubic.

The situation you describe was predicted.
"I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves."
Acts 20:29,30
The bright side is that the one who permitted this to happen will clean it up in His due time.
