well.. practically speaking, there's this site which kinda logically reasons the existence of God and Jesus, with the assumption that we exist
but because i hate it when people just leave links, i'll try and sum it up
thinkers exist
we are thinking
therefore we exist
thought requires the passage of time
the outside world exists
all events are caused, and there must be beginnings and endings
2nd law of thermodynamics : entropy of universe is increasing
therefore universe is winding down
therefore the universe has a beginning
presence of motion requires a prime mover
presence of complexity requires a designer
therefore the universe could not have started on its own, and it cannot sustain itself
therefore our universe is inadequate and it cannot stand alone
so there must be more i.e. the supernatural
something supernatural ordered our universe, and it must have always existed
it was the prime mover
it is omnipotent
it is eternal
it is infinitely intelligent
it is omniscient
therefore: there is a GOD
so.. all atheistic views must be false
pantheism is false, because the universe cannot sustain itself
polytheism denys the existence of an all-powerful god, instead having a chief god, who is merely MOST powerful, so polytheism must be false
monotheism wins
then we need to find out which god is true
agnosticism of the type where we cannot know of the existence of god must be false
so we are left with agnosticism, as in, not knowing any details about god, this will be proven false if another religion is proven true.
then there is judaism, christianity and islam
out of these three, there is a common figure, jesus, on which they disagree.
judaism says there is a messiah, but it's not jesus and so they are still waiting for the messiah, christianity says there is a messiah, and the messiah is jesus, and islam says there never was a need for a messiah, and jesus was just a prophet
well.. if we check out a nice bunch of prophecies made about the messiah, and see if Jesus fulfills them, then we'll have a pretty good idea of who he is
fact is, according to the bible, a book of history that has never been proven wrong, Jesus fulfils all the prophecies concerning the messiah, and therefore he must be the messiah
so, logically speaking, Jesus is God =D
so.. i think in a nice long and lengthy way i hope i have disputed your claim that christianity is made not to be able to argue or disprove anything, because.. well.. in a roundabout way i've shown that it cannot be disproved because it is 'proven' through reasoning, with like.. one assumption that i'm sure you're happy to make =D
i hope that with good reasoning you may be able to accept Jesus

You are right about it being an internal thing instead of an external thing- I will explain that a little better- it is a heart issue. You have read the Bible now have faith. Faith is the substance of things unseen. It we analyze it too much we will get more confused. "Our heart is deceitful above all else'- so therefore Satan is trying to do anything that He can to keep us from giving our life to Jesus.- in other words- giving our heart. Admit you are a sinner- repent- turn from your sins and then accept Christ as your Savior. I know that this is what you have heard over and over again- He will change you from the inside out- but you must first give your life over to Him. About being narrow- it also says- narrow is the gate that leads to heaven. Christianity is so much more than interesting. It is a relationship with the living God. May the Holy Spirit reveal in your heart His truth.

All you need to do is speak it, God hears everything, in
Rom 10:9 if you confess with your mouth Jesus {as} Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;
You said you have prayed, have you prayed the sinner prayer? That is confessing that you are a sinner, and confessing that Jesus is Lord, and that He died on the Cross and that God raised Him from the dead, and confessing that you need Him in your life..As well as asking for forgivenss for your sins..Ask for the Holy Spirit of God to fill your spirit as well..
By the way, there are many different sinners prayers, but I believe the best sinner's prayer anyone can say is what come out of your heart..Because when you speak the sinner prayer from your heart, its your words coming out, and I know for a fact that God will hear you...It is really not that hard to ask Jesus into your life..
There are some who feels something when they recieve Jesus into their lives, and then there are the ones who feel nothing at the time..Alot of times that is caused from doubt, doubting that God will hear me, doubting that I am saved..So if you have any doubt at all about anything to do with God, you need to get rid of it before you do pray..Praying to Jesus is saying I have Faith and Trust in Him..You will become a New Creation...You have Christian friends have them pray with you, the Jesus says where there are 2 or more I am in the mist..
I really hope the best for you and hope this helps as well..I will be praying for you as well...As for you going to hell and partying, nay, think God has other plans for you...

Hi, Hopefully this may make some kind of sense to you, it seems that we are all broken in some way and in need of healing,it can be a whole host of things but particularly bad relationships are one of the root causes, an over-bearing or absentee Father is very common, and another root cause is self-pride,we think that we know it all and even what we need and so most of us come at sometime before God but on our terms, this is part of self pride.
I too was in your position at one time and I to looked for the easy way through Christianity but now I know that there is no easy way,Christianity is the one faith of the Cross, of suffering, and this is why it is salvific in nature, and really in my experience we must be patient and wait for the Lord to choose the time and place that He well knows is the right time to come to us, this I know is hard to take and to fathom out but it can also be a measure of how sincere we really are when we ask God to help us.
I read this story once about a young Man who went to the hermitage of St.Kevin of Glendalough(Ireland) and found him washing himself in a nearby river, when Kevin asked what he wanted the young guy said that he wanted Jesus in his life,St.Kevin then grabbed him and forced his head under the water and held him untill the very last bubble of air reached the surface, the young guy gasped for air and then St.Kevin said to him,` What do you want most right now? the lad said gasping,` to be able to breathe, well Kevin said, when you want Jesus as badly , you will find Him.
I know that all this may appear a little patronizing and I apologize for this, but I really hope you find what you are looking for and wish you every blessing in your life.
Kind Regards to you.

I find it feels good to accept Jesus. I was once lost like you, but then the Holy Spirit came to me, it touched me in a way that I had never been touched before, and all of a sudden, I was on fire for Jesus. I want to serve Him day and night. Jesus has already accepted you, the question now is whether or not you want to return the favor. Also, I have to agree with the others who have posted, don't blow Jesus off, let Him come into you, and then you will feel better than you have ever felt in your life. Know that His Kingdom is at hand!

This whole Idea of having to accept Jesus to get to heave is a made up fantasy. It is not found anywhere in the bible or in any other scriptural works.
It is based on a misinterpretation of a mistranslation of biblical scripture.
Jesus never said anything like this. Jesus has already accepted you, you need do nothing.
Love and blessings Don

Just remember one thing: Jesus got up after being dead three days, and he started walking around like nothing ever happened; and then he rose into the sky and became a god.
Next thing you need to learn is that god turned the Nile River into blood. There are many things you need to believe, and failing to believe even one means that you go to Hell.
In Hell you will burn and rot forever. Plus, you will suffer painful farts.

I believe the problem is we all start out ambivalent about knowing the truth about GOD. Have you tried asking yourself if there is a part of you that is afraid of the truth? If GOD were to reveal the truth to you right now and it meant that no one wanted to listen to you or believe what you believe could you handle it? Maybe a part of the truth has been revealed to you and you have overlooked it because it felt so natural & simple. Could it be that we are the ones overcomplicating the simple?

Sounds like you can't reach the point of resolve. "Knowing" and "finding" Jesus and all he taught is totally "different" than the ways religion or the world for that matter, teaches his truths. I only have one "suggestion" for you and that is to do what Jesus himself "said" to do. Seek a place where you can in "secret" off by yourself "meditate" and "commune" with God in heaven and Jesus. If you "listen" in the stillness you will hear his answers for you, not the ones of religions, but the ones "he" choses for you...........

It seems to me that you are having a complex with your inner surroundings. You don't NEED to find Jesus. You don't need religion. It is nothing but a superficial security blanket that is for the weak of heart. There are precious few people in this world that can get by without bowing down to an artificial intelligence high in the sky. Be yourself. Don't become a theological sheep.
