I highly doubt it; in fact, I know many Christians that absolutely love Carlin.

Face it, Carlin is one of the comic geniuses of our time. He's not only funny, he makes you THINK. Good comedy will do that, as it requires intelligence.

Second, if some Christian finds him/herself offended by Carlin's humor, hopefully their belief is strong enough that their whole theology is not shattered. I doubt that Carlin has "converted" anyone to atheism.

I'm a christian and I don't hate George Carlin. It would be a waste of time and energy to devote hatred to a man that seems to be so bitter that all his money and notoriety I wouldn't want if I had to be like him. He's just an angry hateful person, it seems.

This one doesn't. He is a funny guy. We Christians have to be able to laugh at ourselves (or at least recognize why others are laughing) otherwise how are we different from the Scientologists?
