Why do muslims want to blow themselves up?

I don't get it. Everyday we hear about another bombing in the East. A radical muslim runs into a crowd and detonates a bomb he had strapped to his body. What is it with these people and explosives? Why are they so fond of blowing themselves up? Is there something in their "bible" that tells them to kill themselves and others?

There is nothing in the Quran that tells them to do this. In fact, suicide and killing other people are condemned by Allah.
Those terrorists are going to hell. They are a bunch of dumb idiots. They are not following Islam at all. They took Islam and tore it apart. They are not Muslims. Real Muslims don't commit terrorists acts.
However, they feel as if they are being persecuted and it's their way of retaliating. So, it's more cultural factors, but religion is mixed in there as well.
It's a complicated situation and it won't be easy to solve. All we can do is let the mighty force of the U.S. army blow them to smithereens or at least put them in military prison for war crimes.

Gees, I can't imagine what they might find objectionable about the West, what with such upstanding roll-models of open-mindedness and tolerance as we see every day on CNN and R&S.

Anyway, how can you think they'd behave any differently? A holy book which instructs them to take up the sword in the name of their beliefs...what sort of depraved religion would have something like that?

First of all, the Bible is not what the muslims listen to. It is the Koran which teaches them to be so violent. They do it because they believe they will go to Heaven.

if you knew for sure , that there is 72 great looking female models ( and all virgins by the way )
+ rivers of wine and honey
+ very big castles made of gold and silver

all are waiting for you in heaven , and you have two ways to get there :

1st . do as the religion tell you to do all your life ,
if you know anything about Islam you would know how hard this is
and even if you did , surprise surprise , you may go to hell
allah can do whatever he wants , no questions

2nd. you get killed while killing non muslims ( holy jihad )
that's the only guaranteed way to heaven in Islam

They do because there religion is founded on violence.It says (when misinterpretated)to kill all who have different beliefs!It is religiously intolerant.
Others are forced to...Its get extreme or DIE.

In the Bible it only say

No greater love has no 0ne than this,that one would lay down his life for a friend. John 15:13

I guess the IRA and their opponents weren't 'gutsy' enough to do it that way.
They preferred to maim children by remote control.
Ah, how the Young forget even such recent atrocities, committed by 'decent' Christian folk....
Speaking of, wasn't it one of America's allies that dropped remote detonation devices on civilian neighbourhoods in Iraq at the onset of the current war?
Again, killing children is easy, by 'remote control'.
