While part of your question is correct it is really not entirely true. Buddhists do not believe in multiple gods. They don’t ever believe in God. Buddhists try to achieve an enlightened stage (being god like) trough mediation and such. Nothing in Buddhist teachings talk about worshipping God.
Also animism not anamalism is just a spiritual believe that all things on earth have a spirit or life force. With this believe you learn to treat things with more care as you would a human. It teaches all things are part of the earth. There is nothing about worshipping these things.
Catholic religion only believes in one God. The saints and angels are not worshipped but they are merely spirits that are petitioned for help.
Hinduism has many gods, goddesses, demigods, etc. but in all truth they believe that there is one Supreme Being called Brahman. Brahman created the heavens and the earth and is revered about all other things. So in actuality it is also a monotheistic religion.
Vodou is a monotheistic religion also. Bondye is God and the lwa are spirits like angels or saints. Nothing comes before God because without Bondye nothing would be here. We thank Bondye for giving us life.
Now it is a known fact that most cults are also monotheistic because cults tell you to focus on one being usually the leader of the cult and revere only them as God. Even Satanists revere only one being called Satan.
I will give you this Wicca is a polytheistic religion but in all truth that is only one that you mentioned. Even the ancient Egyptians were a monotheistic religion during Pharaoh Atenhankem's reign.
In this day and age most religions are monotheistic. Many of the polytheistic religions are old dead religions or remembered religions, such as Wicca. The major religions of this time are still a one God religion.

Christianity's Trinity is ONE god in three forms - think of it as one person wearing different masks.
Most Vodouisants are Catholic, and thus also monotheistic (the Lwa are not gods).
Islam is also currently the largest religion in the world as far as adhererents go, and is undeniably monotheistic.
(I happen to be a polytheist, btw)

Believe it or not, many (although not all) pagan paths believe in one deity. However, they have a pantheistic view of deity. In other words, there is one god, but god is so vast and infinite, we as finite creatures could never grasp the wholeness of deity. To have a better understanding, we see aspects of deity, like facets of a diamond...each god or goddess ever worshiped by humans reflects an aspect of deity.

So Christians should feel indebted to atheists for bringing average back closer to monotheism.

funny thing about that poll you said about 81% of people considering themselves christian...i remember a few years ago i myself claiming to be christian only because i didn't really care, and thought i had to put some kind of religion down on surveys and crap. so most Christians...well they aren't really christian. they just claim it because their parents were Christians or they used to go to a christian church as kids. do you know my husband claims to be catholic because his parents are catholic, yet he doesn't go to church nor reads any kind of religious book. funny huh...
