Aren't Christians great?

They don't judge others, they love their neighbours, they love their enemies, they look at their own mistakes first before looking at others, they love everyone, they want peace and tolerance, they forgive, they turn the other cheek,

basicly, they are nice.

To the real Christians, this is just a salute to you guys.

To the "Christians", that was sarcasm.

=p

Thanks for the salute. You described real Christians-that is followers of Christ, those who are Christlike- very accurately.

If you hadn't put that last part in I would have assumed you had gone crazy all of a sudden. Yes, there have been some great Christians, Martin Luther King jr. was a shining example of what Christianity *could* be, advocating brotherhood, peace and equality. But I doubt there will ever be another Christian like him.

Yeah, all that love led to the Crusades, Inquisition, the Hundred Years and 30 Years wars, and the Holocaust.

You CAN put them together in the same sentence, you just have to separate them with a few aren'ts and nevers.

True, but in my opinion it can apply to each and every religion, don't you think?I mean the religion may be extremely good; but all its followers don't necessarily have to be,do they?

very great points, you've basically outlined jesus's teachings.

but don't look for these signs in others, compassion is not always kind and kindness is not always compassion

don't infer too much from that last part, i'm not talking crusades or nothing, just sometimes you got to tell her that dress makes her look fat, so to speak

Sounds like your describing Jesus.

As for the rest of us:

There is no one righteous, not even one;
there is no one who understands,
no one who seeks God.
All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one."
"Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit."
"The poison of vipers is on their lips."
"Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness."
"Their feet are swift to shed blood;
ruin and misery mark their ways,
and the way of peace they do not know."
"There is no fear of God before their eyes."

Romans 3:10-18

Can you Imagine what this world would be like if Christians Lived like Jesus, and according to his teachings?

I think the closest I have seen would be mother Teresa (sp)
but I didn't know her personally, so I can't say for sure.
