There have been many instances of things that have been claimed to not to exist just to have been discovered to exist. All these scientists had to go on were eye witnesses and stories (i.e. The platypus, The mountain Gorilla, the okapi etc.) and even then these were thought to be hoaxes.

So why do people just claim that something (i.e. God, spirits, ghosts etc.) don't exist without searching for them? Even though all that one has to go off of is eye witnesses and stories.

Some things just don't leave proper evidence of their existence. It's like if a person were to see a snowman walking around they would walk around it looking for the batteries(<-this last sentence is in reference to The Return of Frosty the Snowman.)

Why must people have to see something just to believe it exists? How many times have you seen something unbelievable and said, "I don't believe it." and yet it's staring you in the eye.

I'm sure if it doesn't exist here it exists somewhere in this universe.

I believe in God NO DOUBT... but I have kindof started looking at religious views differently lately... God thinks of all people as his "Children" right?... Unconditional love... right?

If you have kids then you know that no matter what he/she does you would never want to do anything to hurt themm..
Why would God send his own children to a place as morbid as Hell?.. I don't think he could.....

So, My question is... Do you think there is a Hell?.... I want you're opinion by the way.. not your rude comments...

Let's say that you were given the opportunity to spend 15 minutes with God himself and you alone. What would you say to him?

I once heard a pastor say that because Christians have such huge differences in doctrinal beliefs that those who go to heaven and learned Christianity will have to take classes in heaven to re-learn what God is saying to us.

Do you think we will be in classes in heaven?

(I know that this has to sound like a stupid question, but it's 1:30 in the morning!!)

If it's not his followers just outright being BAD, then it's being obsessed to the point he'd get mobbed by a crowed anyhow.

Suppose evolution was true; change does occur among species over time. Please explain to me why only monkeys, out of all the animals that evolved in the planets, developed the ability to think rationally. Why couldn't reptiles that evolved from millions of years ago develop the capacity for rationality? And if they are "rational" they have only slightly the capacity of being rational than we do. If they did, they would be the ones building houses, telescopes, etc. Please, explain!

I find it scary that so many people would take the opportunity to become as immoral as possible because there is no Godly punishment or reward at the end of life.

1. The world contains things that were brought into existence by some cause
2. Everything that exists is either uncaused or caused to exist by another
3. There cannot be an infinite regress of causes
4. So there must be an uncaused first cause
5. An uncaused first cause is (in part) what we mean by God
6. Therefore, God exists!
7. TKD540 is a genius

So, I am just wondering how many members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) that are regulars here log on and search for open Mormon questions first thing?

I just can't believe I'm the only one, because it seems there are a few Mormon names on here I'm really starting to recognize, as we all seem to answer the Mormon questions posted. LOL

1. I have, within my understanding, and idea of God
2. This idea of God is the diea of the greatest possible being
3. A being is greater if it exists in reality than if it exists only in understanding
4. If God exists in the understanding alone, then a greater being can be conceived, namely, one that also exists in reality
5. But premise 4 is a contradiction, for it says I can conceive of a greater being than the greatest conceivable being
6. So if I have an idea of the greatest conceivable being, such a being must exist both in my understanding and in reality
7. Therefore, God exists in reality
8. And since TKD540 was able to put such a rational argument, he is a genius.

Joesph smith stated " I have more to boast than ever any man. I am the only man that has been able to keep a whole church together since of days of Adam. A large majority of the whole have stood by me.
neither Paul, John, Peter nor Jesus ever did it. I boast that no man ever did such a work as I. The followers of Jesus ran away from him; but the Latter-day Sainrs never away from me yet.

let's assume jesus were alive in the human form today. would he be more likely to take the side of the conservatives (mostly christians) and support the war in iraq, or would he side with liberals (mostly non-christian) and be against the war?
