I can't remember that scripture off the top of my head, but the apostle Paul mentioned that the scriptures were profitable for living in this life and the next life in heaven. So, basically, whatever you learn here about God you will take with you into the next life. However, if you had a short time to learn about God while here in the earth, there are some things which you will have to be caught up on. For example, someone who gave their life to the Lord on the death bed, is going to have to learn worship and praise God, before they enter into His throne room. Just something to think about.

That Pastor is very good at making up stories. Who ever is going to be the instructors in heaven can get a head start on Earth by teaching the religions to agree on God. Watch them all get an F.

No theory, the only element the catholic doctrine says approximately purgatory is that that's a purification which will contain discomfort. Purgatory must be considered as "state" somewhat than a "place". that's fullyyt remarkable to assert that Christ executed all of our salvation for us on the bypass. yet that would not settle the question of ways this redemption is utilized to us. Scripture famous that that's utilized to us over the direction of time by, between different issues, the skill of sanctification during which the Christian is made holy. Sanctification is composed of suffering (Rom. 5:3–5), and purgatory is the in simple terms good point of sanctification that some human beings might desire to submit to till now we enter heaven. Purgatory is the in simple terms good area of Christ’s making use of to us the purifying redemption that he executed for us via his loss of life on the bypass. Purgatory is clever via fact there's a call for that a soul no longer basically be declared to be sparkling, yet easily be sparkling, till now a guy might enter into eternal existence. in spite of each little thing, if a in charge soul is basically "coated," if its sinful state nevertheless exists yet is formally ignored, then it remains a in charge soul. it remains unclean.

"What is purgatory?"
It is a place of cleansing, of soul purification. It is a place where souls of the departed, who die in the grace of God, pay in temporal punishment (punishment for a time instead of for eternity) the debt due to sin that had not been fully paid in this life. It is the place where souls are purged before they enter heaven, as nothing "defiled" can enter therein (St. John 21:27).

If we do, and we have to go to detention, does it last forever?
I really don't think it matters. We get to live forever, and that's incentive enough.
