Do you know what the value of ants are to the earth, if you did you would never ask such a stupid question. Ants irrigate the earth and allow water and air to flow through it. Every creature on this planet has value in some way, its called the circle of life. Us arrogant humans forget that. Who ever said God needed us? I personally am agnostic but maybe he just felt like creating us, if he did do it.

Yep. Perfection is imperfection. Imperfect creatures like us make god imortal. If we were all perfect, he wouldn't be... well, a god.

And by the way, we need ants a LOT more than people like to think. They are more important to the well being of the earth than WE are.

Hey! God is a creation of Man to give us respect for the higher authority of our beings. Someone had to come up with the idea that god created us to make the story more interesting.

What child would listen to a mushy story about sex when, not as a rule, but most children think kissing is yucky until they get a little older, so telling a child that a god created us was easier for children to believe.

Sex was yucky when I was two, three, four, five, six, well maybe not at six, kissing wasn't all that bad, but girls were yucky, except Mom but I did not see her doing the yucky with Dad, and when I see anyone that reminds me it isn't me doing the yucky, I say, "Hey! Get a hotel room!" ;-)

Salam (peace be upon you), God is free of all the needs, His kingdom wont decrease if He gave every creature from His Kingdom, nor would It increase if we worshipped Him. Angles asked the same question, when God created Adam PBUH (peace be upon him), that "why is there need of humans, when we worship You, endlessly " God replied, "i know that you know not". God has created us to worship Him, God doesn't need our worships, its we imperfect creatures who need God.

Why have we been created? To worship him. What was the need of humans being created? As a believer in God, you should know that u have been created so that you can go through the test that is your life. God does what He wills, He wanted to create humans, and He created human beings, thats simple, why? again "God knows, that you not know" Thats why it is called faith. Believers have faith in their beliefs. Questions about God can't be just based on our reasoning, faith plays a vital role... I dont know if it answers your question, but i just wanted to give you a tip on how to understand the concept of answers regarding God and logic and reasoning... you were created to pass the test (life), cuz it was God's will, and so were you created, we are imperfect, and we need Him to take us close to perfection thats the best i could answer.
peace

Because God likes to create things perhaps it makes him feel good somehow and perhaps needed. Without humans why would God feel a sense of being needed, he wouldn't. Maybe he did it as joke, him and all the other angels up there get a kick out of watching us humans screw up.

To make us realise that perfection is not impossible. It can be attained by efforts. Because, internally we all are perfect and integral part of God, the need is only to realise our divine self that is our true nature.

Smile and see God is not an external thing. He is within you.

People are God's instruments for change.
Many things are possible with God's laws
of physics. But they don't happen until we
show up and poke around.

It needs to be noted: God only writes the
genetic code up to water. Also, good
and evil only exist in the minds of men.

He sees us for the "diamonds in the rough" that we truly are and already rejoices of the wonderful and happy people He already knows will become of us as soon as the universal issue of sovereignty is finally settled and put to rest.

No no. He did not need us. He loved us.
We are here for His pleasure and purposes. He made all of us unique. There is only one you. Only you can do what God planned you to do. You have a free will though. So use it wisely. : )

He doesn't need us, He wants us. He simply has so much love that he decided to share it with us and instead of making us perfect robots, he gave us the power to chose to love him.
