For years I have spoken of Pagan religions to Christian church congregations and spent time with Jesuits on religion study projects.
So those who automatically say "you don't know Christians," I know their foibles all too well.

gwhiz...please reread. I am a Pagan. I fought for WIC, welfare, CHC and a statute to make Fathers pay even if there wasn't money. I'll bet most of the folks that answered that are of any religion know what all those letters and words stand for.

I have a real solution!
If all those "good people" who are anti abortion would sign a pledge to take care of and PAY for the medical expenses for the mother to be and her unborn child, and also pledge to adopt and raise that child as their own it would be a good thing. I just wonder how many would!
But it would end the screaming about saving the embryo and the baby would not need health and welfare money.
Any takers?

I am Christian,I was raped at age 14,I would not murder, alone
I raised the most beautiful girl in the world.I did need a little help from welfare at first,You fear a tax dollar will feed a infant
there is no longer welfare, there is a transitional assistance program, which is a very temporary help program.

I never heard a Christian yet, that would deny a baby proper care, I don't know where you get your misinformation from, but I'm sure it's not from Christians, probably from secular outlets, that try to justify their, unjustifiable support of abortion, and throw in embryonic stem cell research, as a kicker... when a baby needs to eat, drink, be clothed, shelter, or be comforted, Christians will always be their, more than any secular organization, has even thought of, being where their needed, Christians will always put babies, and children first, it's in their nature, and the will of who we follow...it's in Christ's nature, most money sent is by Christians anyways, even secular people pay taxes, since it isn't enough welfare money why don't you secular folks, get together and agree to pay more in taxes!!

Because screaming by a Christian is a form of control. If they yell loud enough maybe someone will listen. Christian can talk the talk but very very few can walk the walk.

I am trying to remember ever, ever, ever, hearing a Christian scream if a baby needs health and welfare money. I dont believe it and I think you should tell why you think this is true. Christians are the kindest, most giving persons on earth and you shouldnt slander them

But yet you are completely unaware of the thousands of Christian charities that feed and clothe and care for the poor in this country and around the world?

I scream for both. Why do you feel the need to put all God fearing children into a basket of evilness? Have I personally offended you? Why do you feel the need to offend me?

I don't mind giving a helping hand to those who truly need it, but what is so wrong with expecting parents to take responsibility for their children?
