The question is
Is there a traditional gift a godmother gets her goddaughter on her first communion.
If you don't have a suggestion for a gift, don't answer. I did not ask your opinion on the sacrament or for a bible lesson or even what you think of catholics. This is an important time for US and if you don't genuinley care then why waste your time answering. Thank you and sorry I have to be so clear.

The origin of a dogma
Placed in a new millennium
Vilified demons have been embraced
And given a warm welcome

The Seif al Din
Hasn’t got the ghost of a chance to rust
Because it has always been kept in shape
In serving th one Almighty

The rudiments have always been misinterpreted during history,
despite the good intentions of many disciples who’s faithful believe was strong and unswayed.
Most leaders interpret the old words to their
advantage in the attempt of gaining leadership and power
over those unfortunate enough to fall under their maliciousness and manipulative ways.
This misuse of trust will forever stain the pages of history,
echoing the exploitation and the frailty of decent
men carried away by nurtured rancour...

Perpetual distrust fed by a belief
In the malevolence of the others

When the beautiful unreality holds out its hand
It’s better not to lose yourself in blind faith

La Illah Illallah, Mohammed rasul Allah

Ok if it turns out we were wrong and there is a heaven and hell would you really want to spend eternity with these people who like to talk a lot of big talk about heaven?? I think an eternity of hell would be preferable to an eternity of being constantly lectured about the trinity by my favorite R&S regular don't you?

This is a survey I am doing for a class to sample Americans views on the scientific theory of evolution. (If not US resident, you need not answer) Simply answer Yes FOR evolution, or No AGAINST evolution as the correct answer in regards to the creation of Humankind.

as this is in the spirituality section of Answers, a vote against will be interpreted as based on religious convictions. If otherwise see our surveys at www.YeaglyDataInst.com

Do not lie, fundamental behavior is simply instinct. Is it a cool procedure to make so-called gateways to the cool people? Or is reality simply cool? Any religion may answer.

I like to watch science fiction programs on TV that talk about life on other planets, but I wonder if the Bible says anything about this.

Just looking for opinions, not a conversion...

Does anyone believe that it's a scare tactic these days instead of being an integral dark side to a religion? It frightens me when children talk about going to hell if they do something bad. I feel so sorry for them that they have that burden at such a young age.

According to this person, as well as some of the people who answered her, it is OK to force a woman to wear the hijab if she is in a country that requires it, even though she is not a member of that culture, or that religion.
So why would it not be OK to force women in other countries to conform to other standards of dress?
Alot of people in the US see the hijab as oppressive to women...why should we not force them to wear jeans and tee shirts like the rest of us?

My parents are christians and are strongly agaisnt the Harry Potter books! One time they invited some friends from church over for lunch, and I was at home reading the 2nd harry potter book. Well, one of their friends said to my mum: "are you training him to be a wizard?!" and gave me a dirty look!

Why also, do many of them have a good sense of humor! I mean, you tell a rude joke and they look at you in a stuck- up way!

Is this only here in AUstralia, or is it world wide!

Thanks

Andrew says that he want everyone to understand the seriouslness of hell. is that how most christians feel? Do you want everyone to understand the seriousness of hell and that's why you're always trying to convert people? I'm not sure I understand the seriousness of hell just yet- I've been told by a lot of you that I am going there so I'm pretty much resigned to it but could you help me understand the seriousness of it?

I have just seen a post about good luck charms warding off the devil
most suggested that Jesus is the only way to do this

my question is
before Jesus died , what warded off evil or the devil ?
I am genuinly curious to this so no disrespect intended
but Satan/Devil has been mentioned in Genesis ... what kept him at bay then when Jesus was not around ?

With programmes such as Most Haunted, is spiritulism becoming the new religion? Is it possible that so many people can now see and hear ghosts and other related hauntings or is this just media mind-set?

How do you know? it has chaged? it is false? it was mytholagy? Where is your proof. and if you have none aren't you basing you arguement on ignorance. kind of like the eath is flat theory or we evolved from apes theory (religion).
Is it true that people will believe in anything that excludes Jesus?? and why? They did the same thing even after Jesus rose from the dead. they paid the gaurds to say that his disciples came and took him.
