I do still read the Bible on a regular basis. Hon, if it was mythology it wouldnt have survived half the crap its been through. For years the Bible was viewed as only for the elite, to be read only in Latin (not the language of the common people) and people who tried to get it into the hands of the common man were executed on a regular basis. Has it changed? Well, that's a question you can answer for yourself. Go to the bookstore or library and pick out several translations of the Bible. Pick any scripture or passage. Most of them, no matter how they are phrased, still speak about the same thing or convey the same message. This is true with the King James Version, the Revised Standard, or any of the new versions that are out on the market today. the reason is that God's word doesnt change. Compare those versions to the copies of the original manuscripts that we have from 2000 or more years ago, and you will see that the Bible is the same as it was written in the past. The message hasnt changed even if the language has. Try looking at copies of teh Chester Beatty manuscripts and some of the Masoretic texts to prove this point.

I believe in Jesus despite the Bible, he is about the only sane one in the whole book. I have read the Bible, and because I have read it I reject Yahweh, the god of the Old Testament, as well as self-appointed apostle Paul. I have an affinity for Jesus though, and feel that you can base your entire religious belief on his simple teachings (which can also be found in the Gnostic Gospels). There is no need for a Yahweh and you would think that Jesus would have done a good enough job without any need for Paul.
Where's my proof? It is within me and it is within you, too.

Well, it is a translation to english for you, so you arent reading it in its pure form.
It denies that the earth is more than 6,000 years old which is a fact.
Evolution is not a religion (stop reading anne coulter), but it is a theory which has an amazing amount of evidence.
People do in fact beleive in many things besides jesus. Do you have any idea how many religions there are in the south pacific alone?
Your last comment is referencing a plot device in the Bible.

I don't have proof that it hasn't changed, but that's what i believe. Just like there's no proof of god, but you believe it. It's just the faith we have in what we believe. Just because i don't read the bible doesn't mean i'm a bad person: i work hard, i study hard, i help others when i can, i pay my taxes, i try not to lie or hurt anyone's feelings, i'm honest, and i try my best to make things better for myself and others through the little deeds i do everyday. I live my life honestly, there's no need for the bible to live a good, honest life. So no i don't read the bible, and i'm okay with that.

Many believe in a lie as Romans 1:25 says INSTEAD of the truth of Jesus Christ- YES the bible is God's word! And yes I still read it and God has still much to teach me through it! My day is not bright until I have spent some time either in prayer or word with the Lord. True joy truly does come from Him! And His word is like a lamp unto my feet--it is!

Why Do human beings Say That God Is merciless? DO you locate the question, “Is God merciless?” brilliant? some do, yet extremely some human beings on the instant ask your self if God is merciless—or they assume that he's. Why? some who live to inform the tale organic mess united statesask: “Why does God enable this stuff to take position? Is he detached? Or is he merciless?” Others are further bothered at the same time as interpreting the Bible. they bump into such debts because the only about Noah and the Flood, and they ask your self, ‘Why ought to a loving God placed all those human beings to lack of life? Is he merciless?’ Do such questions take position to you at circumstances? Or do you eventually end up unable to provide an answer to individuals that ask your self if God is merciless? In both case, evaluate a diverse question that would help. WHY do we HATE CRUELTY? merely placed, we hate cruelty because we've an ethical experience. We decision very much from animals in that respect. Our author made us “in his photo.” (Genesis a million:27) What does that recommend? He gave us the capacity to copy his characteristics and moral criteria, his moral experience. evaluate this: If we gained our moral experience from God and we've a tendency to hate cruelty, does that no longer recommend that God hates it too? The Bible confirms such common sense, for in the Bible, God assures us: “My methods are higher than your methods, and my concepts than your concepts.” (Isaiah fifty 5:9) If we were to guage God to be merciless, ought to we no longer be declaring the option—in effect declaring that our methods are higher than his? it ought to really be smart to collect more advantageous data earlier taking this way of stand. possibly we ought to consistently ask, no longer even if God is merciless, yet why a number of his moves would seem merciless. to assist us, enable us evaluate what “merciless” extremely skill. when we call someone merciless, we decide his motives. A merciless man or woman is one which enjoys seeing others struggle through or who's detached to their misery. as a effect, a father who disciplines his son because he enjoys hurting his son’s emotions is merciless. yet a father who disciplines his son to educate or guard him is robust. motives are easily misunderstood, as you properly comprehend if everybody has ever misjudged you. enable us evaluate 2 of the the reason why some imagine of God as merciless—the organic mess united stateswe see on the instant and the divine judgments we learn in the Bible. Do the data extremely educate that God is merciless?

I know it has changed because it was written, translated, and rewritten by a lot of different men.
I know it's false, because some of the content is ridiculous such as 'the world is flat and sits on pillars', which it says somewhere.
I have read and analyzed the Bible, because I went to a Christian school, and that's why I'm Atheist.
