Yesterday I was at choir practice and i was praying for a friend of mine and i did feel a strong presence that brought me to tears, then later that night i had a nightmare that i was fighting the devil, please help me understand this nightmare.

You had a 'nightmare' that you were fighting the devil because you 'see' the devil as being a virtually 'insurmountable evil' that you need God to fight in reality. That's all it is ... just that 'simple explanation' and not some 'big symbolic thing' for you to be 'afraid of' ... if you can realize that your dreams are all 'just a bite of reality' that you are 'not done thinking about' when you fall asleep, your dreams won't be 'nightmares' any longer.

Usually if you have dreams that your fighting devil or some bad guy or something, for real, it's with the evil spirits. So when you were praying for your friend, you were acually fighting against the devil but spiritually.

Pray for ur friend. bind up the devil and loose him from his assignment u have to use warfare we dont wrestle against flesh and blood it doesnt necessarily mean that u are fighting with the enemy but because u prayed for friend the devil may have tried to use backlash on you so pray for ur friend and urself. and know that the victory is yours. Also sometimes the HOLYGHOST shows us what the enemy has planned for us that we may equip ourselves to fight and to prevail in prayer because that is the way we defeat the enemy GOD bless.

You have allowed your delusions to progress far too long.
Say you find out that there is no devil. How will you explain the emotion that brought you to tears.
Mental instability coupled with delusional behavior.
Seek help.

In your dream was your friend there? maybe your friend is weak to fight his or her battle right now, or at that time, and in your dream you were there to help fight the battle with or for this friend..my sister had a dream that satan was after her daughter and she fought him and would yell and scream you can't have her she belongs to God...I am not sure if that would be what it means but it could be....

I've also had dreams of demons. Now in these dreams, I pray. And right after i pray for God's help he wakes me up! It's totally amazing!
Satan and his crew like to mess with us, any way they can. Pray about this.

Sounds self explanatory to me. Praying for your friend is a good thing and Satan is not liking that. In essence whenever we pray we are fighting against Satan.
