My friend has been having "friend troubles" with some of her friends and now they are mean to us. We don't want to sit with them for lunch but we didnt want to sit alone. So (we're no supposed to) we sit with some of our other friends in different classes and one of the guys in our class told our vice principle (i HATE her!) and now (i am a goody-goody student! i don't get in trouble! now i have thanks to that stuoud vice princible) she said we have to sit in the back of the cafeteria for the rest of the week! I almost cried! Now we can't go to our teacher's pizza party he had planned for us...we are his favorite goody students, so what should i do? i guess i just asking, what is a good way to spend silent lunch?...pass notes?

Ok, asked another question,, ticked a few people off. So I'll ask this one.. People are so nosiy and impolite these days. I'm 24 and have no children or desire to have any. Of course when I'm asked if I say that you cna imaging the heated discussion it brings out.

So when your repeatedly asked Do you have children? How many? Why not? Can you not have children?

How to you answer firmly and effectively and get your point across without being a complete a** , like you would probably liek to be after being repeatedly asked?

My husband and I moved into our great home over a year ago with our toddler son. One of our nextdoor neighbor's is a family with a middle aged mentally handicapped lady. She has on multiple occaisions come over, usually when i'm at work, to talk, or even ask to use a clothes dryer. She doesn't get the hint that if you open the screen door and stand guard, it means to not come in. She kinda 'barrels' her way thru. On top of this, we have a chain-link fenced in backyard that we enjoy spending time in. Again, when my husband is home alone or with our son, (rarely when i'm around) she will come out within minutes of them being outside and unwelcomingly start talking (loudly and whatnot, remember the 'handicap'). Sometimes she even cuts thru the backyard to hang clothes on the opposite neighbor's line, or even when we're having family time, she'll come over thru our gate to hang out. She won't get the hint we just want to be "Hi and Bye" neighbors and to leave us to our privacy. What to do?

"Shayla" lived in the apartment beneath mine four years ago. We've had months of not speaking to one another at different periods, and I have felt very betrayed by her in the past. She asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding, and I agreed. When she began fighting with her maid of honor (her sister!) I got "promoted" to the position. To make matters worse, she admits she doesn't love him, and is constantly looking up exes and talking about trying to find a "fling" since she has a "free cheat" to get even with her man for an affair he had with one of his exes. I have asked her if she is sure she wants to marry him, and she says it doesn't matter since divorce is so easy. She doesn't have many friends, and calls me her "BFF." If I step down, I'm not sure she could replace me with anyone local. Should I suck it up and shoulder all this work for a friend I'm not sure is that close? Should I tell her how I feel about participating? Is there a gracious way out?

I didn't mind doing this at all, it was fun having her dog over, such a smart dog. Would it be rude to try to give her back the gift cert.?

I've maintained a light friendship for four years now with a girl that has very few other friends; she calls me her "BFF" but I don't feel all that close to her. She was in an abusive relationship in the past and wrote me off over it until her ex disappeared. When she came back around and I had guy trouble, she stabbed me in the back. She apologized, but has admitted to gossiping about me recently. Now, she's engaged again to a guy that can't hold a steady job or a friendship. She admits she doesn't love him and is still looking at options. She wants to go through with this wedding in six months. Her maid of honor (her sister) quit speaking to her, and now I've landed that glorious position. She has actually disinvited my husband! That doesn't convey unconditional support on her end-- so do I have to be supportive when I don't agree with her? Can I back out????

I know of a man living nearby, and he is used to prostitutes. Either he brings them home or go to vice dens. Though he seems very logical and sensible in his way of talking, his this behaviour makes me feel sick. He is also normal looking.
He says life is for 'enjoying'. I feel this thinking stinks, right?

I tried ignoring him, but he keeps on trying to interact with me.
What do I do to keep him away?

Genuine answers only plzzzz.

My uncle and his wife often invite my family over for cookouts during the summer months. They always provide lots of soft drinks for the children and beer for the adults. My problem is that I try to limit my kids' comsumption of soft drinks as much as possible. My son always becomes so hyper if he drinks a couple of colas that he's practically bouncing off the walls for the next twenty-four hours and can't concentrate at all. I am also trying to lose some weight and drinking regular beer doesn't help much with that either. Would it be considered rude if I bring light beer and juice or lemonade for the kids? My uncle's wife always insists that they provide everything and discourages our contributing either food or drink, and I don't want to offend her.

What do you think of these people:
The ones that are coming out of building when your are going into the building. You are attempting to open the right door on your side, and you see them and think that they will go through the right door on their side, but then they sneak through the right door on your side when you are opening it and proceed to thank you as if it was intentional??
:)
lol
I have to admit I did that when I was child...but today a grown women did that to me and I was a little irritated.

I do not understand why people with children are so RUDE!!!!! They ram you with strollers, let the children kick ,scream and yell without even trying to quiet them. You go into a restaurant to eat a meal and they kick the back of your booth, cry or stare at you pressed against the glass. Whatever happened to a good butt whooping" ???

The parents are just as bad... They let it happen, I guess its easier to not deal with .

Just got back from vacation and had to endure a ton of breeders are their offspring. Could not sleep at night for the crying in the room next door, and could not enjoy the pool or hot tub at all for the kids. Even had the lifesaving tube in the hot tub.

I 'll go ahead and say I HATE KIDS! I am 24 years old and happily married for 7 years.. Never had the desire to have any and don't thinkn I never will.

People need to respect the fact that some people would like to eat or sleep without being infringed upon!!

This drives me crazy! If you say something to me and then say "no offense," obviously you've said something to which I probably should/will take offense. And what is the appropriate response?

Example:

I'm originally from the Northern USA but I currently live in the South. I was IMing this dude from the South the other day and he types "Every girl I've met from the North has been really rude and snobby. No offense." WTF? Is it my job to prove this guy wrong or something? How would YOU react?

FYI...I came back with "Well, isn't that like saying all Southern men are hicks who are still fighting the Civil War?" (which is totally untrue!)

In a magazine it says to impress your company at a bar, or in your home, order or make a cocktail drink thats appropriate for the establishment and the season. What does this mean, how can a drink be right for a certain season? What drinks are appropriate for what season? For example what kind of a drink is an autumn drink vs. a winter or summer drink?

I can't take all the whining and lying this person does to try to get their way all the time.
Also can't deal with their obsessive need to always do things together.
What should I do?

My neighbor behind me has 5 dogs that bark constantly. You are limited to 3 dogs in the city limits. They won't come to the door and don't have a phone listing. I have talked several times to Animal Control, the police, and even the mayor. The mayor has talked to them twice, but nothing has helped. The police won't do anything and the dog catcher is all but useless.

I got sick at work yesterday, (puked) and the owner of the restaurant made me stay and wait tables. He kept asking me "you're not going to call in tomorrow, are you?" I kept saying, I don't know, I don't know, I don't know, until finally I said, "No, probably not." So he would leave me alone about it.

I have never called in once except for today, (I called in three hours early) to tell him that I've been puking all night and he goes "THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU TOLD ME YESTERDAY!" I replied, "I'm sorry, but I just don't feel well." And he screams "Thank you!" and hangs up in my face.
Is this fair?
I wonder what is in store for me tomorrow.
