i have lost weight so my clothes dont fit me tight, my bra straps are constantly falling , and i pull it up when i feel its down , this guy got annoyed and said"can you just fix your bra strap? but the thing is i am a host at a restaturant and he is a server and i was about to go home..so why did he even bother?

I think he is perfectly right. You are making him uncomfortable by not dressing as you should. He was neither being rude, nor is it a compliment.

People who are constantly fixing a bra strap (get one that fits...they're cheap) or brushing hair out of their eyes, etc. look unkempt and are annoying to others. A host at a restaurant should be "put together." He wasn't being rude and certainly was not complimentary.

I definitely wouldn't take it as a compliment. If he meant it as one, he's not too suave. It sounds like he was being rude. You weren't responsible for making him feel uncomfortable, as Anthony answered. Your bra strap just fell. It's something that happens to girls and if a guy is bothered by it, that's HIS problem. He could have pointed it out nicely though, the way you'd tell someone that they have food in their teeth. It doesn't sound like that's how he meant it though.

You should be adjusting your bra straps or getting a better fitting bra.

He did not compliment you.
