In appreciation of the pastor's time and service, please consider making a donation to the church for the music program or missions program or children's program, etc. It doesn't have to be a lot -- $25 is certainly reasonable.

As jcr pointed out you need to see what your city ordinances are, there may be permits required, As to Busking? it can be a lot of fun, Heck I know I'm pretty good and I also sing and play harmonica, but then again I have a real job that pays quite well I might add, and I just do it for fun, As to a crowd? Uh no, it will be people walking by doing there business, if your good enough and happen to be playing something that the general population passing by likes then perhaps they may stop and listen, and if lucky throw some coin in your guitar case, if not they'll just keep walking, But the fact your thinking of doing this tells me Yes you should do this, Its fun and a great education in people skills and being a musician in general. play whatever you want you'll figure it out as you figure it out,

I have never heard of tipping your pastor performing a baptism is part of his pastoral duties. he should not expect you to do that. but if you want give him and his wife a certificate to go out to dinner and celebrate the event on you and your wife or take them out to celebrate.

I've never heard of tipping a pastor/priest for baptism. Take a photos with him/her and give a hug. My mom and dad took photos with the priest/deacon that baptized us...its in our baby books.

Please don't refer to it as a tip. If some sort of fee is involved, the pastor will let you know ahead of time. If there is special music, the organist should be included. Please be aware that these people are making their living performing these duties. As long as pastors have to pay for gasoline, food, etc. they will need to be paid. Thank you and congratulations.

Get real! A pastor actually would take a tip? WOW! Lovely church you attend, or maybe you really have no clue. If you don't, I apologize, you shouldn't tip a pastor for anything, unless he also works at your local Applebee's.

The pastor should want to do it for free, I mean paying to be saved that's just crazy. So whats that saying if you can't pay you can't be saved.

Nothing!

That's part of a pastor's job description.

I suggest a thank you note or something like that.
