I work for an apartment complex.A resident sent me this:

The other day my daughter Aimee and I came home and had noticed that Aimee's bicycle (on our porch) apparently had been used by someone other than her. This is the 2nd occurance. We suspect it is the children who live in our complex, as they are frequently out and about on their own bicycles when we arrive. Can you please ask/tell our friendly neighbors to please respect others' property? Basically she wants me to write a letter to all the residents.Should I? and what should it say?

i have a cafe, well 2 weeks back 2 school girls came in for a meal, looked to me about 15/16 said they was on a free lesson/ well this happened in my day. so who am i to judge.anyway a school board officer, driven around in a police car, came in the cafe and made herself known, in front of my customers, talking to my husband as though he was a school child himself, " take that meal back , they won't be needing it" . then preceded to lecture him, well i got a bit angry at her condescending attitude, talking down to him , i had my back to her at the time, was cooking, i turned round and said to her, these girls said they was on a free lesson, am i supposed to police for you, and intimidate them. at least if there in my cafe their safe. anyway this person was getting run round in a police car, i ask you, as if the police haven't got an enough to do.now i have her 3 times a week , slowly patrolling in the police car, she's a passenger. passing my cafe, which is up a side street by the way

I met my father when I was 18 and he has been their since. I just turned 24... He is what we would consider ok.. Doesnt call or make me feel like he is a parent but also hasnt ever treated me the way my mother has....... On the other hand my mother will probably be completely offended because she raised 3 kids and he didnt do anything but live 30 minutes away and never see us..... She is paying for the wedding but also she was the one who raised me. I was thinking about doing it alone but affraid of falling on my face. I wanted to have them both do it but I just dont like that idea either. I am his only daughter and my mothers only daughter.... I AM SOOOOOO CONFUSED.....

So, one of the girls in my department is on vacation and someone came from a different department to help out with answering the phones. (We handle scheduling stuff, which means most of the calls that come in every day)

Now she does have experience in our area, but she makes so many mistakes that the time we spend correcting her mistakes or pointing them out to her is just not worth having an extra person in here.

Plus, whenever I point something out to her that she did wrong (which I do in as nice a way as possible) she will either act like I'm the biggest *** in the world or she will list off reasons why it's not her fault. ("So and so said..." or "I thought that you...")

At this point I am only pointing out about half the things to her, because last time I pointed out a whole bunch of stuff at once, she locked herself in the bathroom with another co-worker to complain (in tears) about how I was "ganging up" on her.

This woman is in her 40's.

How do I correct her?

What's going on here? Do the parents care about health or do they just don't know? Is it in the child's interest for you to point it out? Please don't say mind your own business cause I'm just trying to be helpful.

Nothing, because she wouldn't listen to you the first two times you told her, right?

There is a really really annoying co-worker who won't shut up. I personally don't like the guy at all the very sound of his voice makes me angry but i understand the need to co-exist on some levels so i deal the best i can. But lately he won't shut the f-bomb up, even when he's half way down the assembly line he yells so everybody has to hear him even if he's talk to the person right next to him. I don't care him he talks but i don't need to hear his conversation either. The boss wants him to shut up to but he's too spineless to do anything about it so that option is not there anymore. I heard he fell off a ladder and had half his jaw replaced with a fake jaw, makes sense since he is a motor mouth. Please does anyone have any tips on how to shut this little rat up?

I feel like such an ****** for doing that, but I know that I don't want to buy their product or service, and talking with them just to be polite is just wasting their time. They don't stop talking either, and I usually have to interrupt them mid-sentence, which makes me feel terrible. Their job must be so frustrating, but I really can't help it, and if they'd just pause between sentences and give me some time to say "No thank you", then there wouldn't be a problem, but they can tell when you want to hang up and start talking even faster. I usually give them a sentence or two (just to make sure that it isn't a call that I need to deal with), but after that, I just say "Feel free to mail me some information. Thanks.", and then hang up. How do you feel in situations like this?

I'm one of 2 women working in a construction office. The other is a lady about 35 or so, married w/ 2 kids. Because we're the only women, we tend to talk a little more about our personal lives and whatnot. Anyhow, she has told me several times how bad her marriage is. Her husband is a loser and she has to be the breadwinner and she's burned out. Well I've noticed that she's becoming very very flirtatious with several of the younger guys here at work. It really bothers me, not because I'm jealous or anything, I'm happily engaged. But it makes me feel uncomfortable when she's in one of their offices standing up close to them and playfully touching them. Sometimes they'll even call her during the day when they're out on the work site. They've been known to sit in her office whispering for long periods of time. How do I confront this issue???

This is regarding the cards "announcing" that a loved one has passed away. My father and his sister have not had relations the past 4 years due to misunderstanding with her boyfriend. My auntie passed away (rest in peace) and my father along with us, his children, did not get a formal card nor did they make a posting in the newspaper. We, on the other hand, send bereavement cards to the boyfriend and to my aunties children (from previous marriages) on the same day as her passing. Should my father, or at the very least his children, have received a notice?

Clearly they did not want any of us at the funeral, and we respected their wishes in their time of sorrow

ps. This question is not asking for pity, or an all about me question, but one out of curiousity about etiquette in such matters.

Is there any law about leaving many tacky Christmas lights on the front of your house??? Our neighbour hasn't bothered to take down their decorations for the second year now. During Christmas when they are lit up they are fine, but it gets really annoying when you have to look out of your window at them all the time. Its embarrssing when people come to visit and see what we live over the road from. Any suggestions what we could do annonymously to get them to take them down??? Please help!!

I have trained my kids to clear the table and dump the waste.
We have been practising this since many years ofcourse not in restaurants.

Now my son disagrees with me he says those cleaning guys are there to clean our tables.

I have done my Hotel Mangement so I know the difference between wait staff and cleaners. Did I miss something or there is knowledge gap?
