No, this is a know-it-all. Absorbing and processing information immediately is often not a sign of intelligence, but rather of a shallow thinker. Intelligent people often spend a lot of time considered nuances of meaning and relationships in information, which is missed by most others. A ready available solution or answer is often wrong.

Being gifted does not mean that you know how to use your gift. I knew a man with 7 master degrees. He could read the instructions on a hot water heater and quote them word for word, but could not light the darn thing.
Common sense along with the gift will make an intelligent person successful.

I think that intelligence is overrated. Everybody is capable of the best kind of intelligence there is - being thankful for what they have.
The way criminals work is that they need roles to play all the time. They like to limit their abilities and call each other intelligent if they are experts in one area or another. People don't know intelligence when they see it. It's got nothing to do with being feted.

Most people consider those that are able to truly process difficult concepts quickly and apply them gifted. However, there are many different kinds of intelligence and this is just one of them.
