People don't have to go to formal schooling to be educated. Thus, you can learn on your own and yet are not formally educated. Christ was accused of this. He was very well versed in the learning of his day, yet he was criticized for being unlearned, meaning he had not gone to the rabinical schools. Joseph Smith was accused of being an unlearned farmer, yet he was highly intelligent and became very well educated through his own study practices. I consider my father to be one of the best educated men I know yet he never finished his bachelors degree. He took the time and effort to read and study on his own.

Yes. Why not. While an educated person may not be a learned person. A learned person need not be educated. Learned by many means. Life experience, practical, hardship etc...

To me it says: A person who has school smarts, educated well at books..but as no real life experience, ie: street smarts... or vise versa
