My little girl is 15months old and without us deliberately teaching her she can point to her hair, nose, eyes, teeth, toes etc... when asked to do so. Do other kids at this age do that?

I am trying to potty train my two year old boys (2). One of them is trying and showing great interest, while the other one is not. I'm not trying to force him in any way, I just ask him if he wants to go and if he says no I let it go.

My question - I won't leave my one son alone while I take the other to the bathroom for the potty. Sometimes this means leaving a meal two or three times and while the one not potty training is very good natured about it now, today at breakfast he was upset and kept reaching for his food saying "more, more" and trying to shove it in his mouth before he had to go.

I'm wondering what others have done in this situation. I'm not looking for potty training advice in general, just some suggestions that worked when you potty trained your twins or multiples.

Help! I want to keep it a positive experience for both boys and I don't want my other son to start feeling bad that he's making his brother cry or something.

When do you think it is okay to put a toddler in a toddler bed? My son falls asleep on his own, sometimes has a fit, but he sleeps all night. I'm not so afraid that he will get up and walk around (I'll invest in a gate) but my mom and fiance keep telling me no. For christmas I want to get him the Diego room in the box. If not i want to get a twin size with railings. My crib is on its last leg, and its just a pain to take the sides on and of from day to night. What do you think?>

Let me tell u briefly the gist of the situation I am n. My son is 3 y/o & I am a single mother. He is potty trained & wears underwear everyday. I am working on getting him through the night w/o wetting the bed. He was doing really good. I would get him up until I go 2 bed & thats around 12am. Lately, he has been wetting the bed, like 2-3 times a night. I am at my wits end!!!!
Now, let me tell you his routine, I stop giving him something 2 drink after 6pm. So he has time 2 eat & use the bathroom a few b4 he goes 2 sleep. Now he watches his cartoons while he goes 2 sleep. The thing is, he will wake n the middle of the night 2 tell me that the movie stopped & 2 turn it back on again (he just likes the noise sometimes 2 help him sleep), BUT he can not go 2 the bathroom while he is up. And he walks right by it 2 get 2 my room.

I babysit him when his parents work durring the weekday M-F, Do you think its fair for the parents to just drop him off whatever days they want to, and not call and tell me I wont have him on this or that day. I end up babysitting only about 3 days out of five because they are NO SHOWS. I need to know when I watching him because I make RSVP's for fieldtrips to keep the kids occupied and educated durring the week. My husband thinks I'm being extremely B---itchy for being upset that they don't show or not call and calling them RUDE!
I would like to know what others feel and to know If I am being B--itchy or correct on my part.

He has been coughing really bad for 2 days now and he coughs to the point he actually throws up. He has constantly got a runny nose and red eyes. I know the chemists wont give me anything to help with a cough because he's under 2 years old.
Im sick of cleaning up his sicks and changing his clothes 3 times a day cos of the mess.
What can i do do help ease his cough. I feel bad for him going through this.

I'm one for corporal punishment, and I promised her a whipping, so how should I administer it? I gave her warning, lots of it, and corporal punishment is the only thing that works with her. I take something away and she laughs at me, but if I hit her she won't need another for at least six months, but it has to hurt to be effective.

My son is 5, my niece is 4. They fight, push, hit, tattle & it's an ongoing annoying struggle. I know my son sometimes starts fights & he does get in trouble by me. But I've had it with my sister. She yells at my son & blames him when they fight. He talks back, which I know is a problem, but sometimes he has to in order to defend himself. She's always picking on him. I've seen her daughter many times push or hit my son, then she'll run & say he hit me, when he did nothing. Today my sister & I got into it cuz she called my son a brat to his face. And cuz he told his cousin that he didn't want to come over & play anymore. When he said that, my sister blew up at him & said he was mean & was being disrespectful. Well, he's just a kid. If she would of ignored it, it would have ended, but she had to blow it all out of proportion. I'm sick of her bossy snottyness to my son & I. She needs to notice that her kid lies & is a problem too. Now it's an ongoing fight, what to do?

My husband is currently deployed, and we are trying to explain to my 3yr old nephew why his uncle isn't around...We have showed him maps and tried to get him to talk to his uncle, but he won't. He keeps saying he is mad at his uncle because he won't come and see him... How can we help him better to understand that his uncle wants to see him, but is on deployment?

My 4 year old was NEVER a biter, but my 2 year old has started having teeth marks on her arms and legs. They're small, so I know they're from her sister. (She doesn't go to day care or anything, I'm a stay at home Mom). When I ask my 4 year old why she does it, she says because her sister bit her first- but she never has marks.

By the time I find the marks, I feel like it's too late to spank, but I do scold her for it. My other concern is that my 2 year old never tells on her sister when it happens. She isn't a crier and I know these bites hurt because they leave marks.

What would you do?

How long before this becomes a real problem? We are receiving pressure about it from all angles about how he is too old for both of them. But little fella has insecurities and when he doesn't have either of these, he obsessivley sucks his thumb or fingers.

We have limited his bottle to one drink at bed time (the rest in a sippy cup) but his pacifier is omnipresent and he freaks out if we try and take it.

What should we really do?

My son whom is 1/2 black is around white people all the time except his father occasionally. He seems confused sometimes when he see's black people and he has called some black men "daddy". When black people are on T.V he is glued to the screen. Last week my dad was changing oil in his truck and had oil all over his hands and cameron looked at my dads hands and back at his like 3 times. My son is loved very much and I he is never made fun of his color but I often wonder if he understands that he looks differently than everyone around him... How is this going to effect him when he is in school or fitting in. I just worry sometimes that he will feel like he doesnt fit in or think he is weird cause of his color...?

I think I am going to purchase this when they get more in stock (2 weeks) for my 2 year/ 8 month old son.
He's into the tent and fort thing so this just seems perfect. However, it is a reversible bed and you can put the matress on the lower part until they are old enough to move it up to the top.
At what age would you move it to the top bunk area? (I just worry about him falling out. He's currently in a toddler bed w/ rails on the side.)

If anyone has this bed, please let me know your likes/ dislikes.

My 4 year old is being strange lately and I don't know if it's normal or not..

She's interested in my breasts- which I know is normal. She asked me what happened to them- I told her that when girls grow up and turn into women, their breasts grow. She seemed satisfied with the answer, but lately when she's in my lap, she tries to pull my shirt down so she can see them or she'll pinch them or whatever..

Is that part normal? I keep telling her not to do that, but she thinks it's funny. She just laughs..

What do I do?

It is driving me nuts being called Maxine and having to call my son Callum which is not his name! Is this obsesive behaviour and how can I stop it!?
