If it just started to appear, then you may not be rinsing his hair to the scalp well enough. OR he may have cerebral Eczema. It is also called cradle cap, BUT cradle cap goes away where as the eczema is life long. Cradle cap falls under the cerebral eczema category. My son has the eczema, It's just in spots on his head and come down in dry patches in front of his ears. He also gets dry spots on the rest of his body. We have to use selsumblue (dr prescribed) To keep in under control, and lotions for his body. Cradle cap is thick and kinda moist, dry scalp or eczema is a dry flakey.

I, too, tried oil (toddler oil) and had no luck ridding my daughter of her dry scalp/cradle cap mess. I by no potential have been given it clinically determined, I basically taken care of it as cradle cap. I rubbed petroleum jelly on her head till now a shower. Rubbed it throughout! approximately 5 min later we've been given in, I washed something of her physique, then used a respectable quantity of toddler shampoo to bathe all of it out. I could say i became into thoroughly surprised. as quickly as I brushed her hair after the bathtub there have been no longer flakies! This became into around 5 weeks, and at 4 months no longer something has lower back!

Sometimes this happens. Kids do outgrow it eventually, but there are some tricks to minimizing it.
Gently rub baby oil (olive or nut oil is actually better for the skin, but costs much more) onto your son's scalp with a soft cloth. After his scalp is covered in oil, bathe him and wash his hair like you normally would. Do this daily.
Feel free to discuss this issue with your son's pediatrician.

After washing your child hair use a hair oil. Using vaseline or baby oil clogs the pores! Use the hair oil every time you see the scalp is getting dry. Don't watch the child hair often. Children hair don't get dirty as often as adults so watch the one a week if that! Try that and see what happens, trust it will work!

My health visitor gave me a sample bottle of coal tar shampoo when my little boy had it - it went away within 2 washes and never came back.

after washing the baby's head, rub a little raw, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar. it will clear it in no time..just warm it a little so it is not cold to his skin
