I know exactly how this feels because I went through this with my 2 girls now ages 2 1/2 and 4 1/2. My youngest started doing this when she was maybe 18 months old and she would pee but also poop in her room during naptime. In the morning, I always had to rush in her room to make sure I got to her before she destroyed it again until I discovered DUCT TAPE. I only used it during naptime and bedtime. I stopped doing this after to couple of months and started potty training her. She is 2 1/2 yrs old and I'm proud to say she is 100% potty trained. One of the most hardest milestones to accomplish but well worth the effort. So, I guess what I'm trying to say is he is probably interested in learning the potty regimen! Good Luck. As for your peace of mind, try the duct tape around his diaper and also, you know the pj's with the feet? put it on backwards and that will help for a while until yet again he like my daughter will figure it out. But, it'll at least give you a small break.
Happy "No More Diaper" Days!

have you tried the pull ups and talking with him about big boy things ? pull ups are like big boy undies.
my daughter is 27 months and also fully trained.
she did the same thing...only no pooping on floors just pee.
i would put towels on the couches/ chairs where she sat (or floor) and tell her if she had no diaper on the had to sit on towel.
start introducing potty if you havent already- any time he has any luck let him have 1/2 hour of naked time
put big boy undies on him...yes they will get wet often
my daughter still loves to be naked, but i tell her i dont want anyone to come to the door and see her bare bum. and she agrees she wouldnt want that so she at least has on underware. all other clothes usually get taken off before long.
i use a plastic liner under fitted bed sheet to protect mattress from getting wet (she does have the occasional accident) and you could put on ontop or just a thick towel.
talk talk talk to him. dont put too much stress on him for the accidents simply say like uh oh you had an accident...lets be more careful next time.
when you want to tell him something put in form of question and let him answer it. like 'where do big boys or mommy pee?'
does mommy pee on floor?
what does mommy wear ro keep warm?
etc.
good luck

If he's potty training, take away his diapers entirely.
If he's still firmly in diapers, try putting a onesie on him. They snap between the legs, so they can be difficult to remove.
You can also put his diaper on backwards (which makes it more difficult to pull off), as well as snapping or zipping his pajamas up that way. He'll look funny, but at least he'll be wearing clothes.

My son was the same way. He hated to be restrained by clothes. Maybe you can make a compromise. Let him run around with no clothes at home but make the diaper be non negotiable. Does he sleep heavily? Sometimes, I would slip a diaper on my son once he fell asleep.

I agree with putting the diaper on backwards. Every time they take their clothes off, put them back on. Have you heard of a naughty spot? Watch the Nannies on tv

Aww sounds cute though. Hm, maybe try to to distract him from diapers and perhaps interest him in something else like TV, reading just to get his mind off it. Or I guess you could always treat him, and gradually everytime he doesn't pull down his pants, praise him so he understands that he's doing the right thing!
