My 4 year old makes up wild stories because she thinks they're funny. Sometimes, it's harmless stuff (I was eating noodles in a rocket ship today) and the like..

Other times, she says things like "Mommy locked me in the car" or "Daddy threw me" that have the potential of being very bad, but she doesn't realize it. She thinks it's funny. She'll say these things and then laugh and I'm afraid she's going to say something to a preschool teacher or somebody that is going to take her seriously and it will lead to trouble. Nobody EVER abuses her or anything. I don't know where she gets it or why she says it! Help!

My b/f made up a bottle of cows milk without checking it was still in date. I didn't realise until the end of the bottle that it had all curdled into a disgusting ball. I'm really worried now she's gone to bed. Do you think she will be sick? I feel terrible. She's only 14months. Spare the nasty comments please.

She's three years old and just started last Saturday. Last week she pretty much refused to participate and today she did the tap portion but didn't want to do the ballet part. I'm just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and what I should do to encourage my daughter without being over bearing.

My 13 month old has had diarrhea for four weeks now, ever since I began giving her whole milk. She was strictly breastfed until then. I started with whole milk mixed with frozen breastmilk. She began having diarrhea and vomited about four times over a five-day period. Then I gave her breastmilk for two days, and it cleared up. I began the whole milk again (I was only feeding frozen breastmilk at this time because she refused the breast). The diarrhea started again. Meanwhile, I ran out of frozen breastmilk. I took her to the doctor, who told me to continue with only whole milk and she would adjust. One week later, she still had diarrhea. So a week ago, I started soy milk. The diarrhea has continued. She is having 5-8 bowel movements in a day. Her poor little bottom is bright red, and she screams when I change her. I am going back to the doctor this week, but has anyone else had a situation similar to this? If so, what was the conclusion? Thanks.

I'm betting myself that it wont go 1 month, as she just cant keep her mouth shut. She is not the Law, and she does not care. She never grew up, Her mother, Father spoiled her, and i hope her sister learns from that!

Normally people pay me for baby sitting their kids. I baby sat 3 kids and I got a lot of money and they were GOOD kids. But, another lady I baby sat for had a kid and she was a monster. She went through the house screeming and drawing on walls and eating all our food (along with another boy I baby sat) and her mom didn't even offer to pay me. Should I charge her? the mother of the little boy already paid me.

I have a female german shepherd who is 8 months old and every now and then she barks at me and rears her teeth at me while trying to grab my arm to get my attention. Sometimes I think that it is just playing while other times I fear that it might be aggresiveness. Though she does not show any other signs of being aggressive, I do not know how to handle this behavior. Also she gets extremely excited around children, which I plan on having in a few years. I want to get this under control before that.

So i came home from work today, and my babysitter asked me to sit down with her. She has been watching my daughter for about 8 months (my daughter is 2.5), and weve loved having her. So i sit down with her and she tells me about how my daughter kept talking back to her, was misbehaving, and finally came up to the babysitter and told her she was stinky. The babysitter told me she slapped my daughter across the face. She said she didnt mean to, she didnt even think about it, it just happened. She said she calmed my daughter down and held a cool washcloth on her face for her. I was speechless...what do you say to that? I respect her for coming clean to me...but should i keep her employed here? She obviously felt bad, and has a concience, which is nice, but if she did it without even thinking...that makes me very nervous. What would you do?

I have raised eight children and have eight grandchildren, and I have never experienced a child like my 2 1/2 year old grandson. He bites and hits and pinches and kicks my daughter (his mother) and then will bite himself and hit himself in the face. This is over any thing when he does not get his way. I went out to Pizza Hut to eat with them this afternoon and I have never experienced such behavior in any child. My daughter has tried spanking, slapping hands, time out. You name it. It only gets his anxiety level higher and he begins all the biting and scratching her. He has been kicked out of two day cares for throwing chairs at other kids and hitting them or pushing, shoving or biting them. My daughter cried three times on our outing about this child. She is so good to him, but will not tolerate his behavior and is at wits ends. No one, including myself in the family will keep this child for her. The family cringes when she sees her coming to visit with him. Any one relate to this?

My 21 month old daughter is in desperate need of jeans for this fall, but she has really short legs, apparently. The 18-24 months size jeans (like at Old Navy and Gap) are the perfect length, but are too little around. The size 2T jeans, however are super long on her, and cuffing them just looks silly. I need 2T sized jeans that are made for shorter legs. Any ideas???

Okay, We were sitting and talking and I said "you were not born then", then she asked "was I in your tummy?" I said no and she said were was I?" I did not know what to say. You see, when I was a kid, whenever I asked that question the response was, "in your daddy's pants." I want her to know about what is really going on but I am not sure if she is old enough to even understand or to even hear detalis about it. I was pregnant at a young age and so was my mother so I want to be very cautious with this one.
