Do you need to use car-seat if using airport shuttle/taxi/limos ?
What do you do with the car-seat when you get to the airport ?
Are there any 'portable' type of car seats that perhaps can be used ?

We just had our 24m old daughter evaluated b/c of her speech delay. She was diagnosed with sensory integration disorder which I agree with, but the moderate PDD is the one I'm not sure of, I think she's more of mild PDD or btwn mild and mod. She is an very shy baby and clingy. She was diagnosed b/c she doesn't make eye contact all the time, about 60% of the time, but at the playground she will watch the other kids play with a smile and maybe will look at strangers' faces and give a smile. She won't join to play though. Also, she'll only answer to her name 50% of the time but it depends, if she's occupied with a toy she will not look at you, when she's not, if i call her from another room she sometimes come or if my husband or i come home she will come running to us. She's a curious baby, following us around the house to see what we are doing. She did have repetitive behaviors (mostly cause she found it funny) but we taught her not to, and it's not often now. Any opinions? Thanks!

My little boy (who is almost 3), is fully potty trained, the problem is that when we are out walking (we live in a quite a rural setting) if he needs to 'go'. He refuses to go in the woods & wets himself. I don't want to put him back into nappies, and always make sure he tries to go before we leave the house, However as Its only my mother (when im at work) or me who looks after him, he has no male in his life to teach him these things. I've tried to make it sound fun (when he's desperate) to avoid him wetting his pants, but I can never get him to go.
Can anyone give me some advice on how to convince him that its ok (in an emergency) & how I can help him to go, like how to position him, and where to do it ect...
Thank you so much in advance
Lauren xx.

my 2 year old suddenly wants on the potty every 10 seconds, i'm fine with that but every time..... he pees on the floor, his potty chair has a penis sheild but he still pees over it! i tried one of those seats that go on the big toilet, and same thing. Has anyone had this problem, and any ideas on how to rig something up? He sits up straight when he's on it, so i don't understand.

my 4 yr old daughter has a problem with yeast infections. we can't seem to get rid of them. we went to the dr and she has med and i give her vineagar/water baths. but it seems EVERYTIME she goes to her grandmas her infections come right back ( she sleeps overnight 1 night ) now she has been on meds for about 2 weeks and her infection seemed to be gone within about 3 days , no redness or discharge. then 1 friggin night at her grandmas and she is all red and has discharge. wtf ?? could grandma be doing something? this is my mother in law and i have confronted her about this and she says " maybe im wiping her too hard after she urinates" or " maybe it is the color toilet paper" after discussing this with hubby (his mother) we have decided that our daughters are not going to their grandmas anymore and won't be able to see her unless supervised. also when we ask our daughter she denies that grandma is "touching" her and i believe her . what do you think?

Our twins are already 1 year old.Personly I do think that the breast is best. And I` ve been doing this with all my children(all together I have 4).In some point even enjoying it like just the mother can enjoy this bonding time. But now it`s getting to that stage that I`m feeling too stressed, they are literally biting me in every mealtime. And obviously I`m subconsciously expecting it feeling very tensed.
Is there any other solution other than stop breastfeed?I will be very greatful for any suggestions.TNX

My daughter is 3.5 and I am concerned that she is behind in her speech, numbers and letters. Her grandparents and strangers cannot understand most of what she is saying, I can understand what she says and it upsets me that others cannot. She does not know her numbers or her alphabet yet. I try to work numbers into our daily activities but she is not catching on, she will count like 1,2,3,7,9,10. She does know her colors and animal sounds and she can trace the alphabet but does not know what the letters are. When I try to help her she gets upset with me and just shuts down after a few minutes. What can I do or should I be worried? Is this normal at this age?

We have decided to put our outside dog down because of cancer. Our daughter is three and although I do not think she is extrememely attached to him, she will of course notice he is gone and my husband and I disagree on what to tell her. He just wants to wait until she asks where he is and we should just answer that he is gone and can't come back. I think we should let her say good bye to him letting her know that he wont be coming home. Any suggestions?

My 16 month daughter has always had a wide range of foods and loved fruits, eggs, sandwiches, dinners and basically everything we offered her she would eat. Now over the past couple of weeks she seems to have gone off food altogether she won't eat things that she loved before and she will eat her meals very slowly and with encouragement whereas before she would really enjoy eating. I have never offered her sugary or junk foods and I'm not going to start. Shes not ill just the same as usual so I don't understand why she has suddenly gone off food

In the show Dora the Explorer there is a song everytime The Map comes up - the lyrics are "If there's a place you want to go, I'm the one you need to know, I'm the map...I'm the map, I'm the map, I'm the map...." My wife and I are having a debate over what the song is set to since our daughter watches the show all the time and it is now drilled into our heads. Any help on what this song is??

My 19 month old daugher is now 36 lbs and 34" tall. Compared to her cousins and other toddlers her age or even older, I always hear the remarks that she is huge. She is not overly chubby by any means, and she has always been a bigger baby; she was born at 8 lbs, 12 oz and 23.5" long. I've spoken with her pediatrician and she doesn't think this is abnormal, but has always told her father and I that our daughter was out of the 100% range for her age. I'm a little concerned, as we are both small people and I've never dealt with a weight problem. I know how cruel kids can be in school, and I wouldn't want my daughter having to be extremely tall or overweight (although no matter what we support her and love her). I'm hoping after her toddler years that she'll start slowing down and will be about the same size as other children her age. Does anyone have children who have been larger, and how did you deal with it? Did they eventually even out? I'd appreciate all help.
