I know it sounds horrible, but my 3 year old is - no joke - having the worst tantrum I've ever seen in my whole life. I made myself a screwdriver. Am I a terrible person????

No you are not terrible anyone with toddlers should understand where you are coming from! Just don't get drunk this early and make sure your child is safe! Bottoms up!

NOPE your not horrible!! As long as your not drinking the entire bottle and getting wasted! Sometime the one drink is just enough to get the edge off so you can remain calm and relaxed this way the child well see that the temper tantrum is not getting to you. Once a child realized that the temper tantrums don't get to you then they will stop existing. On the positive side when the do have a horrible tantrum they get tired sooner and take a nice nap!!

well, "drinking" does not make you a terrible person. Mabey a little alcoholic. Be careful about how much you drink. be aware, if it starts every morning. But I also believe that having a quick liquer stop can relax you for the rest of the day. Three year old will have tantrums, but getting liquered up will only help you cope, not make the tantrums go away. good luck, and mabey go for icecream instead?

You are not horrible, but maybe you should search for other alternatives to relieve your stress so that it will not become a habit. Also, people say terrible two's, HA, i think it is terrible three's! Set up some type of discipline system that works for your son and stick to it and hopefully this will help. Good luck!

was it a double? No don't be silly, just remember to drink it yourself, lol. Just kidding. OK seriously, why is she throwing a fit? Find the cause, find the solution, simple. Put her in a safe place and let her scream till her hearts content if she is in no pain. One day on a trip to Sears with my husband and our (at the time) 2 children, (4 total) my eldest then (3) threw a fit right there on the floor of the hardware section, so I joined her. I laid down and kicked and screamed right along with her, she abruptly stopped and looking at me (still on the floor) told me I was embarrassing her and to stop. My husband walked away, my daughter NEVER threw another fit even at home. She must have passed on this incident to the others for they never did either, lol. And one drink wont hurt either of you. Just know when to stop. :)And while shes safe in her playpen or crib, take your drink outside if its not to cold and enjoy solitude, or into the batroom in a hot tub. Always works for me.

i'm not particular about the regulation in Tennesee, yet in Montana, we received't purchase beer earlier 8 am. the reason has something to do with grocery shops can't be in competition with the community bars and in Montana, bars ought to close at 2 AM and may want to't reopen till 8 AM...inspite of the indisputable fact that maximum do not open till 10 AM to twelve midday. it truly is a licensing component.

It's 5 o'clock somewhere. Nope, you aren't terrible and anyone who says otherwise must not have a kid or doesn't like the taste of alcohol. Don't get shitfaced, but drink one for me.
