My oldest daughter(2 years old) has recently become VERY jealouse of my son(12 months). I can't spend every moment with them. They have to go to daycare while I'm at school and I have to get ready for the 3rd baby. I'm only 14 weeks now. What fun things can I do with them before they both get all mad.

My son's preschool is having a speaker come from the YWCA to talk to 4 yrs olds about good touch & bad touch. Do you think that a 4 yr old will be too confused & immature to understand the presentation?

I worry that it will open a lot of unneccisary comments from my son. I think he may not know how to take it seriously. For example what if I were to give him a spankin on his bottom & he were to yell out that I was bad touching him? Or what if he asks tons of questions trying to comprehend the difference? His Dad thinks he should go to learn what to do if someone does touch him. I agree w/ that. But I also think that he knows we never touch him in a bad way & he can't keep secrets, so I think that if someone where to do that he would think something was weird w/ it & tell us. He comes out & tells us when the teacher gives him a time out. And he asks questions if he doesn't understand something, like when someone dies. So wouldn't he be upfront about this?

He doesn't look when you call his name, and sometimes he doesn't look no matter what you do. He isn't very expressive at all, especially compared to his cousin who is nine months yonger and can already say, "Thank you" and identify certain objects.

I was wondering if he could be autistic, or if it's too soon to tell at all. Who knows? Maybe he's just stubborn.

My 4 year old refuses to do things for himself. He won't put his clothes on and he won't pick up his toys. He constantly whines and tells me he can't do it before he even tries or tells me he wants me to do it. I know he can do these things, because I've seen him do them before. I want him to be able to do the little things without having all of this trouble.

My 3 year old is showing all the signs of being ready.
>Tends to be dry all night
>Is able to hold it, and then go to the potty chair and excrete both urine and feces
>Very interested in the whole process.

However, he has to be nude from the waist down. As soon as underwear goes on him, he stops holding and excretes.
It seems to me he is associating anything on his bottom as something he can go in. I need to change this in his mind.

Any suggestions?

He had a pacifier until he was 6 months old. We replaced the bottle of milk instead as per suggestions, and now give him a little water instead. He screams like he's in agony--unless we give him that to suck on. We've tried giving him a little bit of water, and he screams for more. The last two nights we've given him no sippy cup--since he also wakes up during the night for it (and is subsequently wet). He's been screaming bloody murder for a few hours before he conks out! Any suggestions?

My nephew, will be 7, and my son, will be 4, are having a melded Birthday party. My sister and I have decided to have it in an indoor swimming pool since the kids will love it. I have bought plates and napkins that are kinda Luau ish. I bought smaller plates that just have fish on them for the cake. Are luau's too girly for the boys?

My son has been told by doctors to have autism, hyperactive and slight attention defecet. I feel all those characteristics are vanishing and he is becoming normal. He did not speak anything till 3 months back, but now he is using nearly 20-25 words, he is saying abc and 1,2,3 till 10 and correctly identifies them, in a jumbled form and anywhere he sees it. He repeates what we say. He is using only 1 word to communicate like he wants water, he will just say "water". Please advice how can I improve his speech. He has to join in pre-kg this year.

If you have read my recent questions.. you will understand. In a nutshell my brother and his wife leave there daughter at my mom's house so she can take care of my niece. His excuse is his wife is tired and cannot take care of there daughter..his wife does not work, she just stays home. My mom tells him she is tired too.. for good reason (she works nights and isnt able to get good rest because she is taking care of my niece).. My niece broke her glasses which she needs to wear at all times..this was about 2 months ago.. still no new glasses..even her school teacher has had a conference with my mom because she needs her glasses, she cannot see. Anyway my mom asked if I could talk some sense into him, make him see what he is doing to his child by neglecting her..make him see that his mother cannot continue doing this and his wife needs to step up, be a parent. How can I go about doing this without sounding like a b****? We're not close so having a conversation will be a first

My daughter is almost 5 years old. She has been potty trained since she was almost 3. For like a year she was doing real good she didnt wet the bed at night at all, but recently I started watching my girlfriends baby and my daughter started wetting the bed again. I tell her all the time that I love her and she'll always bee my baby. I show her as much attention as I show the baby and I try to reassure her that he's not taking her place but she's still wetting the bed. I hate buying those pull ups because I feel like thats encouraging her to pee the bed. Please any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
