My youngest two got me hooked on Spongebob and have watched it since they were old enough to sit and notice the TV. I have never noticed any violence, certainly no more than about 95% of the cartoons out there. And Spongebob is loveable, sweet and always tries to do the right thing.
Some shows are acted for GAY? What the hell does that mean? Spongebob I believe is a male although he seems rather asexual to me, I've never seen anything remotely objectionable there.

I have a three year old and a 1 1/2 year old and they love watching spongebob. Me and my three year old sing the song when it comes on and my youngest daughter dances. I love to watch this show. Let your kids enjoy the show if they like to watch it. your the parent you be the judge.
Hope this helps

Sponge bob is too violent for children and at that age they do not understand that they cannot immitate what they see because if they do they might get hurt unlike the characters on the show. Sponge Bob is for much older children.
As for what you believe to be "gay" reference who cares unless it is important for you to raise a child who is racist and homophobic?

I wouldn't let my son or daughter watch spongebob until they wer like six. Not only because of the gay situation but there was one part when they were talking abou sex. Spongbob was talking about puting his toothpaste in Patric's peanutbutter.(like penis in vagina) Try something educational like Barney because it talks about fareness. Or disney channel. I don't personally like spongebob

I have a three year old grandson who loves Spongebob....if it's for gays, he certainly doesn't know it...and he's the gentle spirit of our family so the violence isn't affecting him....I think each parent knows their child best and can make the decision for themselves.

We have four childen and we have always watched it,My youungest is 4 and my oldes is 10.you just have to make sure they understand that it is only a tv show, not real life,we love to watch it,yes, some content can be a bit violent and maybe even crude.you just have to make sure you make your kids understand that the behavior shown is just cartoons and it is not acceptiable we act like that,so I would say yeah, watch it,have a good laugh.!Thanks Steve
