my 2 year old suddenly wants on the potty every 10 seconds, i'm fine with that but every time..... he pees on the floor, his potty chair has a penis sheild but he still pees over it! i tried one of those seats that go on the big toilet, and same thing. Has anyone had this problem, and any ideas on how to rig something up? He sits up straight when he's on it, so i don't understand.

so i tried sitting him backwards, honestly i was a little skeptical, but it aimed right in. i would have never thought of that. i'm using the tucking method also, when he's on his little potty chair. though now he seems to play with it a lot, lol

when we trained out sons, we had them sit. But we had them sit backwards on the big potty, and then helped them aim down...we even threw in some Cheerios and made a target game...worked well and even though the stand now...for the first few messy tears, the sat and I did not have a big mess around the toilet basin. Good luck

Don't use a potty chair or potty seat. If he sits up on the toilet with his pants and underwear off, his legs will spread far enough for his penis to point down. Assist him at first, you'll find within no time he'll be able to get on and off by himself. The reason he wants to always sit up there is because it is exciting, and he likes the attention he gets for being a big boy. After a while he'll get bored of always getting on the potty, especially after the attention and excitement wears down. Sounds like he is ready, remember it does not happen over night and he will have many accidents. Try not to use pull-ups. They feel just like diapers. Buy a lot of training pants and a lot of jeans!!!!!!!! Congratulations on reaching this wonderful milestone!!!!

All you have to do is show him how to tuck his penis down between his legs when he is sitting on the potty, and tell him to hold it there while he is peeing. He will get in the habit, and automatically do this every time he pees, and you should have no more messy problems!!

A friend of mine had the same problem with her son. She tried everything and what worked is that she sat him backwards on the toilet (facing the toilet tank) The straddled position made the penis point downward and no mess. It was funny to watch but hey it worked.

this sounds crazy but make a game of it....I heard this along time ago when I was training my son (who is 12 now) and it worked. Put cheerios in the toilet and tell him to try to pee in the center of the cheerio and give him some little reward eventually he'll just do it.....Good Luck!

Having 2 boys of my own.. I would suggest showing him how to "tuck" his penis in and keep his legs closed.... then when you say.. "make sure your penis is tucked" he will.. eventually he will tuck it on his own.. another way is to get him to stand on a stool and hold the back of the toilet and have him pee standing up....

Hope this helps ;)
take care

find a man, have him deal with it..or...get a five gallon bucket, cut it in half to make it shorter....paint a bullseye in the bottom..give prizes for good aim...as im almost 30 and still like showing off that i can knock a half empty pop can down at 12 paces...
