my cousin had one for awhile, (he was an only child), until one day on a trip to McDonalds, someone sat on the imaginary friend & that was the end of him.

In fact I did. I was the only child and went to school far away from where I lived. My friend name was holly. She was everything I always wanted in a friend. When I moved she moves with me instead now I started doing things that my grandmother didn't like. I never got in trouble for having an imaginary friend. I just had to learn how to stop doing things to get in trouble. I asked holly did she have sisters or brotherr and she told me yes. I asked her how did she get them and she showed me a flower. You know the flowers that you blow the little stuff off and make a wish. The funny thing is after I did that i got a sister and a brothe that was born 1 year 1 month and 1 day apart. My family just thought that I was just playing by myself and since it never got out of hand I was okay having holly as a friend.

My daughter has an imaginary friend. It is always the same friend but his name changes depending on which cartoon she is into at the moment. I'm not too worried about it though. She does like to blame him when she does something wrong (we had to ban him from preschool) She says he has white hair and wears a red robe. I think it might be possible that she can see her spirit guide. The first name she ever called him was Tiatta.

I had one when I was like 4 or 5. His name was Harry and he lived in the tree in our backyard. He was a green monster.I'd climb the tree and sit on a branch and talk to him. He had a Mum and a Dad that would call him inside when my Mum called me inside. If we went anywhere sometimes he would come with me and he'd stay under my arm. I dont think I ever blamed him for anything. But I also knew he wasnt real, I think I just liked having someone that was my age to talk to. ( I had 2 younger brothers)
My daughter had an imaginary friend when she was about 2 (I'd just had another baby) and it was called Kong, he was a large purple and green spotted alien. She would always blame Kong for anything naughty she did. But sometimes she'd yell at Kong for doing things that were naughty (she would just be sitting there and all of a sudden yell at Kong). As soon as my youngest was old enough for her to play with Kong just dissappeared. And no I never worried cause I'd had one when I was little. It was just really funny to watch her.

I had a few, they were like a little community. They were tiny little people who lived under my bed. Names were Douglin, Licky, Snooker, Cricket and Pauline (truely I have no clue where these names came from). Weird thing is I don't ever remember making these people up they were just always there.
I also (according to my Mum) had a flock of baby ducks that used to follow me about and a baby dragon that lived in my sand pit I don't remember these ones though.
My 5 year old has imaginary monsters that live in a "hole" inder his desk in his bedroom. They are a family his friend is the eldest son whose name is Mystery.

I had two! they were called merc and serc (I have no idea why!) I dont remember them but I have been told that I used to cry if a place was'nt set for them at the table, and I used to try and play football (uk) with them! (how I managed that I will never know) I dont think I blamed anything on them though, that would'nt make me a very nice friend! I was very young at the time (about 3) and as soon as my brother grew old enough to play football with, they disapeared. Ive got 9 brothers and sisters and none of them had imaginary friends! Does that make me weird?

I used to have an imaginary friend called Donnie Darko. Based on the movie. Having him by my side changed my life. You will hear crazy stories about people with imaginary friends, but you have to believe them.
It started 4 years ago, I decided to have an imaginary friend. I drew him out how I wanted him. With every feature he had I said out loud "These are your eyes four you to see" I drew other things and said "This is you mouth for you to speak". I also made a mistake and said "This is a device for you to invade my dreams" and since then he has been in my dreams every single day. 2 years ago I found that same drawing, worn out and out of color, believe it or not it spoke to me....it said "Get me out of this drawing, I want life, you created me, you bring me to life"
I ended up burning it...what happened that day would never leave me!

My daughter had a friend called Tommy, a horse called Faline, a dog called Pal and shopped at "Old Man Corkeenys" shop!
Tommy had a whole range of relatives and friends that could be used in different situations. I never worried about her and she is fine. I thought it was a brilliant display of imagination and the fact that we didn't worry enabled her to just go with it and enjoy it.
