Someone I know is expecting a boy soon and is confused about circumcision. How many of you have been through this and what are the benefits. Is all the loose skin trimmed off or do they just trim around the end? I mean is there different ways/results or are they pretty much all the same? Is it better to have all the skin trimmed off leaving the head and rim always showing or with the skin left to cover half the head?

My son just woke up from his nap, I put him in his highchair in the kitchen and was giving him his snack while I swept the floor and what not. He was smiling and laughing and then out of nowhere just started screaming I mean not crying or anything and not even mad just screaming like if you or I were to scream at the top of our lungs. He just kept doing it ( he is 14 months old by the way ) I kept saying no and told him to eat his snack and he would just smile and scream again, this is nothing new to him he has known how to scream for a while now. I kept saying no to him saying no more screaming and he would just keep smiling and do it again, when he usually does something that I tell him no to repeatedly I put him in his room for about 10 minutes and then he is fine. For the last few days I have been on edge with everything and I just lost my cool and put him in his room to sit because the screaming was agitating me. Am I wrong for doing this????

My husband and I are seperated. He keeps our 5 children on the weekends while I work. Our 4 year old was displaying some very unmistakable sexual movements. When I asked what he was doing he replied " I want to make it big like daddy" pointing at his penis. I was shocked! He then said, "daddy does it likes this, then he pees and it puffs back down". I could see the innocence on my son's face. I questioned my 2 oldest boys and they basically stated the same thing, demonstrating masterbation hand gestures they have seen their dad do. I want to know is this a form of sexual abuse? I have never had sex in front of my kids and certainly not masterbated. I haven't talked to the father yet, but I need to know what would you do or what steps I should take. i am too upset to think clearly now. please help!!!!

I've never been spanked, but I've seen my aunt swat her 5 year old son on the butt a few times, and therefore, that's a spanking. Was it like that back in the "old days"? It seems like people were more...brutal with their kids when they misbehaved back then.

My husbands uncle just died and my SIL is insisting that she is taking her kids to the Wake and the funeral. They are 4yrs, 2yrs and a newborn. I have tried to tell her that it is not a place for children, and that the 4yr and 2yr old could be traumatized by seeing their dead great uncle at the wake. What do you think? Am I wrong ?

I have a 9 year old daughter in 4th grade and a paper came home from the school for teaching sex education. Of course you need to either give permission for her to participate or do another study during this time. What do you think of school sex education? Of course I will do what I feel is best I just want to know if any of your children have had this class or are going to be having this class. I thought I was in Jr. High when I had a sex ed class. What are your experiences good or bad having your child have this class or do you want your child to have this class when in the 4th grade.

My husband and I were just given custody - most likely temporary - of a distant relative. He is 3 1/2 and was beaten viciously by his mother and stepfather (He just got out of the hospital 2 weeks ago) He is very quiet and well-behaved, but we've had him for 2 weeks and he's still terrified of us. We have never raised a hand or our voices to him and give him his space, but he still cries or whimpers and cowers away if we even go near him. It breaks my heart! I am home with him all day so it seems like he should be used to me by now and not as scared of me. I have no experience dealing with abused children, so if anyone has any tips on how to make him more at ease or how to handle abused kids in general, they would be greatly appreciated. (He already goes to counseling twice a week)

1) The parents grew up on stupid music, movies and tv show themselves and have not learned reality from fantasy.

if you can not realize crap music,tv show(comedies etc...) and movies from good ones then how are your children going to?

2) They give their children everything like cellular phones and internet service, cars etc...

The parents think that this will increase their childrens security and intelligent, but some of these parents don't even know
how to use email or the internet on the computer themselves.

3) Why are boys and girls so violate today? Their parents believe in a war that says violence solves everything.

Agree or Disagree?

Are your kids in sports, such as little league or soccer? If so, are you quick to step up and help out or are you one who says "I can't" or "I'm too busy."? What makes you hesitant to volunteer? I'm on the board of my sons' little league and I'm having a hard time getting people to help out, even though they said they'd volunteer. It's frustrating, I'm busy, too (Work, two kids in sports, on the Board, writing a novel), but I still find the time to help the league, if needed. Why don't others want to help?

I posted this here because I know a lot of mom's scrapbook. Now my question is that I do scrapbooking on my computer and just save the finished product on my computer and then add it to my website. Where can I find cute layouts, templates, embellishments and so on that I can use online, I don't want to order any because I do it all on my computer. If anyone knows I would appreciate your idea's thanks so much.

I have already decided not to go but I just wanted to see what others thought about this.

My sister in law is having a party for her son at tumble time. My 3 year old is going with my husband and I opted to stay home with my 15 month old as he is too little to attend (according to rules and regulations at the party site) My mother in law is upset by this. She thinks I should bring my very active 15 month old and stick him in a stroller for the party. We have to drive 3 hours just to get there so he will already be spending 6 hours total in a carseat. He does not like his car seat and screams after 20 minutes. I think it is cruel to force him to go. What do you think.

I need the advise of strangers as my husband can't give me an unbiased opinion.
