My kids are divided on what their favorites are, and balancing a meals is sometime a juggling act..One loves veggies and fruits and not so much on meats, 2 absolutely hate fruits and veggies and will drink juices, but love meat and starches...

We are becoming the vitamin fortified - chewable vitamins family I believe.

Any ideas for fun foods/snacks that help meet all the nutritional basics?

Would you volunteer to be a Leader if your daughter wanted to join Girl Guides but the group wouldn't open unless they had more volunteers? How do you feel about being required to volunteer and assigned a night every month or so?

Especially foreigners who came from a totally different school system and point of view.

Right now I'm an A student, I have a part time job, I buy ALL my own stuff and I'm gonna start my Gradutate Studies at Berkeley next week in Sociology.

It seems like the only person they care about is my autistic brother. I've tried to get their attention by being a good son but apparently it's not enough. I've been considering an overdose or cutting myself or a combination but I can't decide what to do.

I don't know who I hate more, my parents or my brother, but I'd like to get a little more recognition than the 1 call a week and the 6000 dollar check they send me every month. They SAY they love me but they dont' really show it.

What I really need from them is a newer car. Mine's a 2004.

Any ideas on how I can get their attention?

My friend co-sleeps with her 22 month old with her husband. They have sex in the bed with their son asleep. Is this creepy? If not, how long can it go on? I know for a fact this kid is not a sound sleeper.

I have a baby who is on a schedule that makes her very content and easy going. She has 2 naps during the day, and without the naps, she is very cranky and crabby, and she will stay woke and throw fits no matter what we do. Anyway, my friends came over and I told their 14 year old daughter not to go in and disturb the baby. She says, "oh, but she's making noises". My baby was dreaming, just making coos in her sleep The daughter disobeys me and goes in and wakes up my baby.

So then my baby was mad as a hornet, upset over seeing a stranger rudely awaken her, and tired as all get out on top of it all. I just got her to sleep. I want to be nice, because they are good friends, but I am upset over this because I feel like they just disregarded my instructions as the child's mother, and did their own thing. Then of course, no one wants to deal with the cranky baby, so I had to cook supper through that and finish my homework with baby yapping when she could have been sleeping soundly.

they will be punished? It can't be both, and I personally prefer the punishment part. That way if they're having the time of their lives running down a hospital corridor screaming their heads off, that to them might be worth missing out on ice-cream or a new toy.
Also am I correct in thinking they should not be bribed with dessert so that they will eat their dinner? The fact that they won't starve and are getting all of their nutrition should be reward in itself. Tell me what you think. All comments welcome. Even you people.... yeah, you know who you are. O.k. that was a joke.

I do not believe it is good for them and I have instilled in them that money is hard to get and should be used with caution . But whenever my kids go to see her or she comes to sees them , they always end up with things like ipod's , nice clothes and other things. (last time my 8 year old daughter showed me a diamond/gold bracelet) . Part of me believes this is due to the loss of her own children who died at a young age. The bracelet incident is where I sort of drew the line since I believe 8 year olds should not be wearing that. They have begun wasting money like she does. I recently got an update in their bank accounts and boy. was I shocked. Even worse is that I believe she may be buying my son a car for his SIXTEENTH birthday. I do not want my kids ending up homeless and wearing Chanel. How do I tell my sister to stop buying them lavish things nicely?

When my son goes and visits his father. The father makes his 14 yr. old daughter bathe my son. I have told my ex that my son can bathe himself, but he wont let him. What should I do? Is this ok for a 14yr old to bathe a 7 yr old? I have no problem with my ex's daughter. I just think she shouldnt bathe my son when he knows how to do this.

My friend meet her ex-boyfriend at a sport event, she had her son with her too. her sister and mom was with her, they never meet her son father. until then, ( by accident) he did'nt say hello to her, or the child. the child never meet his real dad, but know his name and what he look like. both of them are marriage to other people. at the end of the event he did said hello to her only, and made a comment "I don't know should I say anything." his wife was with him at th time, I say he did'nt want to disrespect her by holding a conversation, she was hurt that he did'nt say hello to the child, because she said that she told him about him. what do you think of this?

I'm sick and tired of having to go out of my way to help some poor little mommy because she can't do something because she has a baby. It's making me nuts! People think that they can let their kids run around and "be kids" A.K.A. destroy everything and then just laugh it off and say something like "kids will be kids." I see it everyday, and I'm getting tired. "I can't pick that up, I have a baby," "I don't want that, my son put it in the cart" "Can someone carry this for me I have a baby" "What am I supposed to do, I have my baby?" AHHHH It's making me insane! I don't mind helping people but I do mind when people are demanding that I help them. Does anyone else feel this way? I'm sorry but having kids is a choice, you are responsible for them.
